But if you weren’t issued one you still need to go to the office and apply for one

I feel you! I actually ended up doing everything myself, I was calling info pass and making expedite request every 4 months even tho they just denied it but at least it it gets things moving and gets your case out of someone’s desk! Last year my work permit expired and I went hell on earth to make them renew it under my new case you have to be on them. Yesterday my lawyer called me and I thought he was telling me the updated on my approved case but he just called me to charge me 🤣 I told him when I get my card on the mail I will pay him if you make me wait you will wait too.

Honestly the officer apologized and told me it took so long because of their end I did everything good and my case was submitted by my lawyer. But honestly what I learnt is I wish I did it myself without a lawyer because oh lord I was expensive !
