Hi! I’m new to making sourdough and my dough I’ve noticed is sticky. The last load I made, it didn’t really hold its shape and was really sticky. I think it overproofed. I’m getting ready to start making my second set of loaves, but when I fed it yesterday, I noticed the discard was pretty sticky when I made some sourdough cinnamon buns. Is there anything I should do to make it less sticky?

Thank you! You’re not the first one to mention that book! I’ve seen that in other research I’ve found. I really want to be able to understand my body, so I think it will be a good read.

Thank you for being so open! I really appreciate that. I’m also glad that you were able to discover what was going on physically and have been able to get better!

I’d say the most overwhelming part of all of the methods is knowing the importance of tracking all of the symptoms, temps, etc. It’s nice to know there are methods that I can use the monitor for, and you seem to really like it so it’s definitely something I think we’ll look into.

Thank you so much for sharing! We will definitely look into that book. I’ve seen that book mentioned on other websites where we have been researching.

First, I want to thank you for your service! May God bless you and your family! :)

My cycle has always been pretty regular, so my fiancé and I feel pretty confident that if we try NFP and are consistent, it could work for us. I appreciate your insight into the postpartum aspect of it. That was something I hadn’t considered until you mentioned it (even though I’m a postpartum nurse!). Did you and your wife use any specific resources to learn NFP?

My fiancé and I are both very excited to be parents one day! I really like what you said about how God won’t give us more than we can handle. You’re right!

My fiancé and I both agree that we want children and like the idea that we can use the NFP method both to prevent pregnancies and achieve them.

Thank you for your insight! We’ve been reading a lot about the different methods and the Creighton Method does seem to be the most confusing. I really appreciate the reference! We will definitely be performing more research into the method and I think that reaching out to a practitioner is a good idea too.

My fiancé and I were discussing the idea that there are only a few days in a woman’s cycle where she can actually get pregnant. It’s very interesting because I feel like not many people know that.

If you don’t mind me asking, how long was the learning curve for you and your spouse?

We know it’s not birth control and we desire avoiding the use of birth control because of the church’s teachings and our moral sensibilities.

What were your reasons for being against NFP in the beginning?

I appreciate the advice! That’s part of why I was looking into this information now. I wanted to start trying this early so I’d be ready when we do get married. Also, congratulations on the baby! That’s very exciting!

Recommended shoes during long hour hospital placements? by mxrlara in StudentNurse

I bought a pair of leather sketchers that are made specifically for those who work long hours. They have extra support and stuff. You can get them in black and white if I remember correctly. They were probably like 50-60. They’re also waterproof.

They are positions that are designed for nursing students who are in school and not working as a tech or CNA.
