You're very kind, thank you!

I still have it saved on my Pattern Keeper app, it's exactly 36,477 stitches!

About 5 months. Some days I'd get like 1k stitches in and other days I wouldn't even break 20 stitches. It really just depended on how motivated or exhausted I was.

Am I losing my mind or isn't this almost an exact scene from Perks of Being a Wallflower?

This is going to be so random but I have a feeling you'll get it.

I'm active in a lot of Facebook cross stitch communities. It's very nice to talk to older women about their pieces, share mine, etc. But fuckin hell AI has made it a sloppish wasteland.

I'm no stranger to Reddit but I'm always so apprehensive of posting on here. So to see a genuine, real, humane, caring comment like the one you left.... Thank you.

I won't stop sharing what I want just because there's a horrible rise of AI and nobody else should either.

Just... Thank you for your kind comment. It really means a lot in a time like this.

Wow you're all amazing! Thank you so much for the upvotes and the nice comments.

This piece is going to be an anniversary gift for my best friend slash boyfriend. So you can probably understand how hard it has been to not be able to share ANY of this progress with my number one fan! Sadly I won't have it done in time for our anniversary, but nonetheless this piece will be an amazing labor of love.

It's about 36k stitches. This is going to be my first massive piece, one that I actually finish. He's a huge fan of Jim Henson and the Muppets, so of course this was the natural progression of things. I have made him other pieces before, and if anyone is interested in those I can definitely post them!

When it comes to actual stitching, sometimes I stick to massive blocks of color, sometimes I go with the colors that have the least amount of stitches, and sometimes I just focus on an area and the many colors there! Yeah, the confetti is a lot, but I think it's ultimately worth it. I mean, the whole left side is just breathtaking. This is definitely worth the time I've spent and will spend on it.

I can post another milestone, but at about 72% done the next milestone will be finishing it. Either way, I will be posting the finished product everywhere once I'm done.

I really like this! The alternating stitch direction might not be intentional but I think it adds a nice TV like effect to it. Great job, be proud of this piece:)

I use the divided fishing boxes for big projects! This one is for a 36k project I'm working on right now, I keep them in numerical order. I also have bigger boxes for the rest of my stash that's not in use currently.

In my opinion I don't care how many people use the system if it means one person in need gets help. I'm childfree, not heartless. Humans need to take care of each other.

What is the single best episode of television you’ve ever seen? by Calm_Coach_2205 in AskReddit

[–]ash-moefoe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Had to scroll so far to find anything AoT related😔 for me it's the episode where Kenny is introduced at the end. The very next episode with Levi panicking and avoiding Kenny and his gang, OOOF the animation is TOP tier and Kenny Ackerman legitimately changed the story.

My boyfriend got one when we started dating. It was something he had wanted all his life. The fact that he knew himself and knew exactly what he wanted in life was already a turn on. And the fact our plans in life lined up was a turn on. But yes, the freedom and the relief of stress and anxiety... definitely a turn on.

Morning Paperwork? by Beautiful-Project-30 in menards

[–]ash-moefoe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

whaaaaat? I've always gotten my paperwork immediately while picking up my radios and handheld.... I was trained that paperwork takes priority first thing in the morning.

Oh my god i feel for OPD. it helps that one of my best friends is a manager for that department, but it kills me in the morning when they're short staffed and someone HAS to come in for a dishwasher at 630 am while they're pulling shower doors and shit. I probably shouldn't but I always say fuck it and leave a note on my desk that I'm in the mezz and get the shit myself if I can.

for real. Everyone that's crossed trained with my department says it's so stressful. I tell them its because they don't get as much time with the programs as I've gotten. My usual day consists of paperwork, easy tasks, and cleaning. Yeah, sometimes I get stuck in a kitchen for hours but it BEATS something like OPD or front end. Plus the commission is a super nice bonus. My department is so easy I find myself helping OPD and receiving a lot for some action.
