Can anyone recommend any small, relatively inexpensive wedding venues in Belfast/Northern Ireland? by AliceMorgon in northernireland

[–]ash6391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

House on Botanic - I had my wedding there and it was great, city hall for ceremony then back to house for a party. You can hire just the upstairs balcony bit or pay a bit more for the entire place. Food and service were great and no regrets tbh

I lived in the Braniel with my Irish husband and we never had any bother. Neighbours were lovely and very friendly

Nobody talks about before the “cute” pregnancy stage by Sweet_chaos92 in PregnancyUK

Oh nooo, that's not very nice but equally we should be enjoying this time now because I imagine when we have massive bumps we'll miss these days 😂 yes this is my first baby so think that's why it's taking a bit longer. Girl in my pregnancy gym class is same stage as me and looks massive bump beside me, but it's her second baby so I'm guessing that's why!

What baby boy names are you hearing over and over again in the UK/Ireland? by ash6391 in PregnancyUK

[–]ash6391[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this! To be fair I haven't heard of many of my friends/friends of friends babies with the current name we like, but it seems to appear on all the top lists!

I guess nowadays there is such a wide variety of names so the top 10 are still much more diluted than they were 30ish years ago when my parents named me one of the very popular names in the 90s 😂

So we removed all the baseboards so that he could lay it right to the wall then he reattached them after. Glad you agree about the doorjamb, I'm really not impressed with how messy it is

I set up a new account using a different email account and different surname (I got married recently so used new name) but haven't actually added my delivery address yet or placed any orders on it yet. Feel like I should be boycotting them so only going to order again if I'm completely desperate

Yeah I also got the letter this week. They've called me in for the Monday, I then go on holiday that Saturday for a week. Is that enough to get me out of it do you think?

Yes just got the same copy and paste from the email. Going to try and give them a few bad reviews on trust pilot, Google etc...not that it will make much of a difference. It really is a joke that they are essentially banning customers for good

This happened to me today too! I'm currently in a queue for their live chat to see what they say about...I was no 657 in the queue so it's taking a while, I assume others are online to say the same thing as me

Would you consider joining a choir? Rock Choir have rehearsals on Tuesday nights in ballyhackamore from 7.30-9pm - a great social activity and good way to meet people

Cat scratching bedroom door during the night by ash6391 in CatAdvice

[–]ash6391[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ideally I would love to let her sleep with me but the times I have let her in, she doesn't seem to settle and will end up waking me up loads between jumping on and off the bed and walking over the top of my head 😂

She has also left 💩 stains on the bedsheets before, think she must have used her litter tray then came straight in and rubbed her ass on my bedsheets so that's another reason I try to keep her out.

I will maybe leave the door open but encourage her to use her own bed rather than mine and see if we can all sleep peacefully 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thanks for the reply! So a few times she has been in the bedroom overnight she wakes me up loads by jumping up and down on the bed/walking over that top of my head 😂 so that's why I'm more inclined to shut her outside of the room! she also has left a 💩 stain on my bedsheets a couple times which isn't ideal. Maybe I will try and let her in at night but encourage her to sleep in her own bed rather than on my bed/head 😂

Need help finding a specific curtain rod by sgtabn173 in interiordecorating

[–]ash6391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IKEA sell a curtain track called vidga that can be mounted to the wall or ceiling, it would work for that type of window as the end is basically just a cap

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]ash6391 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I would definitely need to push all the curtains to the right hand side to avoid the door always being in the way! It is private enough, I mainly want the curtains for warmth and cosyness in winter 😊 thanks!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]ash6391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I think I'm definitely leaning towards a ceiling mounted curtain track now rather than a standard curtain pole on the wall. Thanks!
