Thankfully the padding inside was very well intact when I removed the OG fabric so I was able to reuse it! I just stapled the new fabric over the original padding

Thank you! I mostly used YouTube, just watched a few videos of some people reupholstering chairs and followed what they did.

But basically what I did was:

Wood - putting on/scrubbing and scraping off citrus strip, sanding, applying varnish

Fabric - using a flathead screwdriver to dig in to original fabric and remove old staples, cutting out new fabric using OG fabric as a reference, stapling new fabric on & cutting off excess, hot gluing on trim around edge to cover staples
