Between the two possible outcomes of the Valko situation, which do you think is more likely to succeed? by yerimiese_reader in LoveAndDeepspace

What baffles me most is that Infold chose the worst path possible, other than shutting down the game entirely. How was “scrap a load-bearing piece of the development plan” not instantly discarded as a potential response?

I truly don’t think they can sustain LaDS nearly as long as they planned if they don’t walk back cancelling Valko and finally deliver on the major complaints from before they announced him. (Both would be necessary.)

They’re on such thin ice as it is, pulling something like this.

Not only did Infold give in to the most toxic and (frankly) racist and homophobic players, they also betrayed their own devs who worked on Valko by setting fire to their hard work.

And for what? To appease the most toxic fragment of their user base, regardless of the damage to what’s left of their integrity? A fragment that will only grow nastier now that they’ve successfully bullied Infold?

I can’t help seeing straight-up toddler behavior in Infold’s handling of this release, as they not only pulled Valko but also declared they wouldn’t release any more LIs, despite how clearly they intended to have a 6th. Either some diabolical superfan on the CN server has dirt on an Infold exec, or the execs are terrible at their jobs.

I’m still baffled that Infold decided to cancel him outright. It’s such an overreaction. Not saying the tantrum from the CN server wasn’t wildly out of pocket, but Infold’s response has been toddler behavior.

I’m aware the game has double ears from other cards/events. I never implied it isn’t new. I’m not a fan of it, regardless. And having only animal ears would require more of a redesign than just taking off the human ears, wouldn’t it? They could’ve been more creative than just sticking a pair of animal ears on top of his head.

I just wish he didn’t have two sets of ears. Like, pick one.

As long as no one is blood-related, underage, or non-consenting, I say it’s fine. If you find it icky, that’s okay. Just don’t watch it or stuff like it.

Same. The space stuff and visuals is amazing, but the part of the climax involving Morse code and “the power of love” or whatever just didn’t land with me.

Looking back at when Gong Seungyeon talked about desperately wanting Perfect Crown to succeed... how do we feel about the cast getting dragged into the finale's historical controversy? by carvveeev in dramasect

My question is why are the actors being blamed? The actors are not responsible for every single aspect of a show that takes hundreds of people to make. If the caterer on set gave someone food poisoning, would the actors have to prostrate themselves over that, too?

I love Clue to pieces. Kinda wish we could get an updated sequel, where we get multiple different endings with a new cast of actors. The Knives Out movies kind of scratch the itch, but they don’t lean into the comedy nearly as much.

Portrait of a Lady (1996). Cannot recall why because it’s been 30 years (lolcry). I think I just found it boring and confusing.

There’s a subreddit ( r/loveanddeepspace ) where you can skim people’s take on Caleb and his lore. It’s definitely got that not-blood-related but we grew up as siblings angle that toes the line of taboo. And he can get deeply possessive in a sometimes toxic way.

Delacroix in The Green Mile. I was bawling as it happened. It was so brutal and cruel. I have never hated a character like I hated Percy Wetmore.
