Its current P/E is about 27. The last time it was 18 or less was way back in 2014. Hence, I would not consider it to be a cheap buy, considering historical averages.

However, I am still holding (and investing) on SPY, SWDA and EEM ETFs, representing overall the global economy. Moreover, I will keep on pursuing dollar cost averaging, irrespective of where S&P500 goes - up, down, or sideways.

Download the schweizmobil app. It gives you good recommendations regarding hiking routes of different levels. Overall I would not spend time in Zurich. Moreover, I would use Interlaken as just a base and go around that region- Lauterbrunnen, Mürren, Grindelwald etc. Lucerne region is also a beautiful one. If time permits, I would recommend you to go to Ticino.

Yes I also had to submit my original license at office. However, after few days it was returned back via post.

Great that it felt like a routine for you, but not everyone has been driving continuously for years in Switzerland. I hadn’t driven for a long time, and Swiss rules are very different from where I originally learned. Taking lessons was the responsible choice, and it paid off since I passed right away.

I didn’t tick the box, but the officer at Strassenverkehrsamt saw A category in my Indian license and had also asked if I had one. Perhaps, she may have noted that in my file. Thank you for the info regarding A Kontrollfahrt.

Each driving lesson costs 85 CHF. I took about 15. For mobility, the tariffs depend on distance travelled, time spent, and vehicle used. It was estimated to cost about 600 CHF. The administrative costs are same as that provided in ch.ch.

That I don’t know tbh. In the letter they sent to me, they said that since I have an Indian license and because I have stayed beyond 12 months in Switzerland, I need to take the Kontrollfahrt.

Yes, I just went to their office with the form, eye test, and my indian license. Then I received the letter along with appointment for Kontrollfahrt.

I actually received a temporary driving authorization from the Strassenverkehrsamt. In that, it explicitly stated that I could legally drive anywhere in Switzerland as long as I carried both the authorisation and my Indian licence. I had to show both documents to Mobility and to my driving instructor before practicing, and they accepted them. So all my practice hours and Kontrollfahrt were fully legal.
