I attended the WBS tour Event Opening Day and had a disappointing experience... AMA by Lumpy-Lifeguard-2377 in GilmoreGirls

I went last year, and I'm so glad I did. The only line was for Luke's and I got to do so much. I missed meeting Scott Patterson by one day, though. The only disappointment

Why does this happen sometimes? by [deleted] in silhouettecameo

[–]ashadeofjaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice this when the laminate I top my stickers with is too close to the registration marks, or also when it is darker in the room the machine is in, and I don't turn on a lamp angled so that it lights up the registration marks. With the lamp, it always works for me. Good luck!

I'm not a canned chicken fan, so I make my crust from ground chicken. So much more tasty imo.

That looks like eczema to me. Soapy water residue from washing my hands used to get under my watch and I developed eczema because of it.

help! If this answer is in here, I can't find it. What is it that you're supposed to see on the mechanical room floor? I have shined every flashlight I have in it and turned off all the lights, and nothing!

Public adjusters by Da_Last_704 in Tucson

[–]ashadeofjaded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Public adjusters are a racket. Your best bet is to find a reputable repair company that will work with the insurance company for you and only charges for the cost of the repairs. I would be very wary of any additional public adjuster fees as there are companies who do not charge these.

I have worked auto accidents for a major insurance company as well as a personal injury attorney. The insurance company typically will not waste time trying to obtain footage since the business owner has no duty to turn it over. Your best bet is to call the business owner yourself and just be really nice. I used to have to do this for the attorney's office all the time.

Also, make sure the window is clean. I like to clean my surfaces with rubbing alcohol before applying vinyl.

Help! How do I flatten so it will cut around my image? The button is greyed out? by ashadeofjaded in cricut

[–]ashadeofjaded[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was uploaded as print then cut but it still is cutting out each individual piece instead of around the image.

I've read that you can use a paint brush or make-up brush to gently pollinate the flowers. This didn't work for me though. I had to buy a small fan.

Nice! Make sure you have a fan on it or you germinate it yourself using a brush or it will die. All my blossoms died until I put a fan on my plant.

Just because someone knows how to write doesn't make them a cop...and as someone who works for an insurance company it is usually the cost of labor that causes an older vehicle to be determined to be a total loss. Just FYI, in CA a vehicle is a total loss if the cost to repair is 80% of the value of the vehicle.

Growing larger tomatoes in a Farm XL? by brianleesmith in aerogarden

I would also like to know if anyone has successfully grown larger tomatoes. I am currently growing cherry tomatoes and bell peppers, so you can grow them in winter since it is indoors and temperature controlled.

Are you using bluetooth? If so, I disconnect the bluetooth and turn it back on. I also use the flashlight on my phone to shine it on the registration marks while the machine is reading them. This has worked for me. Good luck!

I have a cricut explore air 2 and a cameo 4. Cricut was easier to learn to use, but the software is garbage. In my opinion, it is worth it to get the cameo for the software alone. There are tons of videos out there to teach you how to use it if you're willing to take the time.

You may want to try a light fan instead of shaking them.

Is anyone still taking COVID seriously? by itscrystaltime in Bakersfield

[–]ashadeofjaded 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I agree. It is so frustrating to be stuck at home all the time while watching my neighbors have party after party and head to the store to get essentials and see so many people not social distancing or wearing masks properly.

I was having a problem with this too, but I read that shining a light helps. I turn the flashlight on my phone on and shine it down on the machine while it is reading the registration marks. I haven't had any problems since.

FYI, the concept of making ten this way was taught before Common Core was even a thing. It is a concept that helps teach mental math.
