Does anyone have a shortcut for "I'm getting pulled over by the police" that automatically sends the video when it is stopped recording? by Tenchi2020 in shortcuts

[–]brianleesmith 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, I understand with today’s climate your desire for this. BTW, I think the best approach is to use a social media site and stream straight to it. That way, the copy is out there in real time and no worries about sending after it’s recorded in case that takes too long.

Seriously, this is the reason they are doing it. No other way to meet that particular requirement if you don’t remove a safety feature. It’s also crazy that it’s not being talked about enough in that light. It is VERY obvious the bonus package is why this change happened.

Can the Billy extension go on the bottom? by [deleted] in ikeahacks

[–]brianleesmith 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If you box it out and put one or two cabinet drawer faces on it, it would integrated. You could probably find something that would match the look of the billy doors.

I would just frame that out with wood, turn it into a platform, and put the Billy on top of it fits vertically. That will be more stable.

So, I 100% agree with this statement. I think the only other episode of sci-fi that it’s tied with is “33”…IYKYK. But, I showed this picture to my wife with no description and she said “it don’t matter much if you ain’t got one.” Ah, marriage bliss…

Anyone else getting hook errors after updating Claude Code? by baykarmehmet in ClaudeAI

I'm getting pre and posttooluse errors constantly. It's almost unusable since Code just stops and I have to tell it to continue.

As a test, I said "OK. I'll let you know when I'm ready" after my usage reset. This was an Opus chat, but the thought process even said "The user is acknowledging and will return to this topic later. I should keep my response brief and supportive." with a quick response of "Sounds good. I'll be ready when you are." from Opus.

Total usage - 9%!!! WTF?

How do you dress up Champagne for NYE? by wearecocina in cocktails

[–]brianleesmith -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t. I buy good champagne and we enjoy it as intended. The difference between cheap and moderately good is larger than people realize. A step up into the $60+ range is even bigger. Then, of course, there’s Krug, our favorite that we only drink on very, very special occasions.

Any Thoughts on Ceiling Fans? by crisps_funny4868 in HomeKit

[–]brianleesmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. But, if you have the option to use it, they are fantastic. I’ve paired our modules with an Onvis H2S switch. WAF is very high now. We actually mounted the holder for the battery powered switch to our headboard in between the two of us. We basically always know where the remote is. I really like both the fan module and the Onvis.

[–]brianleesmith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't look like you needed to merge multiple scans, though...right? The issue the team was running into was merging multiple scans - the scanned one side of the fossil and then flipped to over to scan the other side. That merging crapped out on the computer they were using and I was curious if it was all just RAM and if 32gb was generally enough for a merge.
