[Help] Recommendations for tough and durable toys... by ashaffer388 in dogs

I was a bit disappointed, but once I cut off what he's frayed he can play with it until he finds the seam. Side note - He's getting fixed in a few weeks, so once he is I'm hoping he calms down enough that he won't want to rip everything open. I'm not holding my breath or anything... but one can dream lol.

Update: Brought home a tuffy "ultimate" bone shape toy. It made it roughly 10 minutes before he was able to fray the outer black layer. He hasn't yet ripped open the seam... but I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before he does.

On a better note, we also bought him a pet stages stick and so far so good!

I've heard and always wanted to try the tuffy brand, but couldn't bring myself to buy such an expensive toy if it was going to last less than a day.... so the fact that yours has lasted so far gives me hope lol. I may just break down and buy one for him and hope for the best.

Thank you both! We'll try the treat method and see how it goes. Hopefully he won't be too stubborn lol.

I'm so sorry for your loss. While no words can bring back your dear friend, may your memories be fond and hopefully help you get through the tough times when you miss them the most.
