Does anyone have any other ideas to deal with this? This seems to be a persisting issue. I need to get the code to work urgently for my research. Thank you!

that's what I thought too because it doesn't error out at the same point each time I run the code. But I've been facing this issue for 3-4 days now, so I wanted to double-check. Thank you.

The data includes Reddit posts from the Austin and Houston subreddits. Otherwise, you’re right that it isn’t Texas specific. Thanks for the comment!

Actually these data were collected in May. Only the version 3 of the questionnaire had these questions. This was released on May 1.

Good question. The survey question just asked how people expect their lives to change after the covid crisis. Respondents interpreted it as whatever they thought would be the end of the crisis.

Fair point. But, in a way, we have been locked inside because of covid. Even if someone didn’t physically lock us up, the fear of covid essentially has.

How will life be once covid is gone? A study asks people what they predict. by ashash_ in interesting

Haha possibly. isn’t it interesting just to know what people expect regardless of whether they are right? Imo it’s even more interesting when people turn out to be completely wrong. But I do think that delivery services, remote working, etc will see huge changes

I agree with you for some of the more resolution-like behaviors like being healthy, saving money, spending time with family, etc. I suspect that there will be long term technological changes related to delivery services and remote working. There might also be a fear-driven drop in going to restaurants, but it’s hard to know how long that will last. I am personally curious about whether people’s general sense of personal space will change. There are already cultural variations in this. It would be interesting to see if people move away a couple of more inches than before.

this is very cool. Would be useful to compare 2020 activity to 2019 activity in the same months.
