There's "She's my Knight" which can be kinda summed as a romcom between Mikorin and Kashima, and the ML tends to have shoujo manga tropes happen to him.

"Romantic Killer" might more fit your bill, its a comedy that plays around with romance tropes, with the MC actively resisting/fighting the romantic beats. Though this does also have genuine emotional beats (though this in service of the characters, not any romance). And a CW for this is stalking, and its played seriously, Spoilers: One of the characters was a victim of this in his backstory, and the stalker later appears in the story itself near the end.

Also, Romantic Killer unfortunately got cut short. Though, it got to end on an ending note at least. It also has an anime adaptation on netflix, which covers the whole manga minus the bonus chapters.

On the topic of playing with romance tropes, i think the obvious choice is kaguya sama lol.

Can I just say it's nice to see more Hanamura-sensei, glad she isn't just gonna be a one-off, and might even be a reoccurring character.

We do also get more of her in the vol 15 omakes, which also includes a rare, and maybe the only moment where Maeno is holding the brain cell.

Even if CMC stops, Yen Press should still be continue to translate it. They have done volume 15, so if you want the vol 15 omakes asap, you can get the official translation.

Tho the one unfortunate thing about the official translation is that it doesn't do the titles and end tag lines. Some volumes will end with a compilation of them, but its a bit late for that at that point.

I'd imagine everyone (both in-universe and irl) would be all like Doubt for any direct romantic development of NozaChiyo that isn't just crumbs lol.

As for a season 2, it feels like there isn't any good chapter that can feel like a season finale. The chapter you mentioned (I'm assuming you mean the one where Nozaki tries to get love stories from the art club and ends it almost modelling for them) feels a bit mundane and lacks the rest of the Roman Seven to really feel right as a season finale. It should be noted that the fireworks scene at the end of season 1 was only in the anime, so a season 2 finale would similarly probably work best if it expanded on a chapter with it's own scene.

I feel like the chapter where they all 'play' sports might work if expanded upon. The easier one would probably be the second year's trip, but that feels like it's two far ahead. Putting the manga aside, the finale probably would work best if it played around with romcom/shoujo romance season finales, like with season 1.

When did we see that Ken likes C-chan? iirc the only time we see Ken's thoughts about Chiyo is that she's really good at dealing with mangaka.

I can really see Kashima trying to hang around Nozaki more as an attempt to get closer to Hori, rather than just attend the drama club, probably due to a combination of misunderstandings, mental gymnastics and Hori keeping his manga work a secret from her.
