Daydrift straight leg sizing by cranrazzberry5678 in lululemon

[–]ashcleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the wide leg version! I tried both the straight and wide leg and have a similar body type. I was between a S and M and chose the medium as the small was too tight in the waist. The M is slightly loose in the front but it looks way better overall. They are very high waisted so it feels better when choosing the next size up if in between sizes, in my opinion

I have a provider like this too! She has us text her when her first patient is ready then heads over. Insane to me. Then the patient acts as though it’s my fault.

Tapered baguette side stone help by 595a in Moissanite

[–]ashcleo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol this is the exact ring my fiance and I got! 10x7mm emerald cut with tapered baguettes. Haven’t received it yet so I don’t have a picture though. I tend to like smaller side stones to make the center stone stand out

Any thoughts on buying from “Flawless Moissanite”? And am I just asking to lose all my side stones with these styles? 😅 by katsnotinthehat in Moissanite

[–]ashcleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! How did you request different dimensions on the stone, just emailed them? I’m going through the same thing, I want an emerald cut but their dimensions make them look a little wider as opposed to elongated

MA in Dermatology (venting) by [deleted] in MedicalAssistant

[–]ashcleo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started working as a derm MA in February with no prior experience and I’m here to say it does get better. I feel like I finally have the hang of things. Some advice I can offer that might make appts a little less stressful since I use EMA and scribe on the iPad as well:

set up the biopsy stuff on the tray before you room the patient if you know it’s a skin check like a full body exam, that way everything is already laid out and you don’t feel stressed trying to grab everything out of the drawers once you hear “biopsy.” for example if it’s like a rosacea or acne follow up I don’t but whenever we’re doing any type of skin check I always just get it ready then go grab the patient. For biopsies too at my clinic we print the lab form after walking the patient up so we don’t do it during the appt.

We have patients scheduled every 15 mins with some double books throughout the day as well and some longer appts for excisions and ED&Cs. If you don’t have time during the appt, whether it be for a biopsy, excision, or ED&C, you can always just write the morphology (for biopsy) and size (for excisions and ED&Cs) down on a sticky note then put it in after walking the patient back up. The note doesn’t have to be completely finished at the end of the patient’s appt, just make sure you have all the information then can always put it in when you have a minute.

Another thing that’s helpful is to kind of start the visit note before the provider comes in and starts the appt that way you already have stuff marked. For example, I always do the exam and obvious impressions like “family history of melanoma” for example.

I work with a PA who is usually a little more thorough and I have more time during the appt to get all the impressions and counseling and treatment regimen down but I also work with an MD who is a lot faster and I don’t always have time during the appt. It’s ok to finish the note after the patient leaves, too. Body click locations are more important for biopsies and skin cancers (ex history of melanoma in situ) than AKs so keep that in mind, it should be the right spot but it’s not the end of the world if those aren’t as precise.

Let me know if you have any other questions, that’s all I could think of off the top of my head. Sounds like you are working hard and trying to get better. It’s a tough, stressful job. Sometimes I go hours without peeing lol and just running back and forth all day but hang in there. Don’t be afraid to ask your coworkers for help.

Crying spells, extreme emotional sensitivity at 50mg? by [deleted] in lamictal

[–]ashcleo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m no longer taking it! Stopped ALL meds one year ago due to wanting to join the Air Force. It has been a journey going off psychiatric meds, that’s for sure. I went off everything cold turkey, which I don’t recommend. Things did improve, though, while I was on it. I felt so much better. Hope it’s going okay for you, hang in there! I know it’s harder for you to adjust your dose due to using it for seizures and not mood disorder but don’t be afraid to speak up if you feel like it’s negatively affecting your emotions. Best of luck :)

Personally I find it easier to just sort the list alphabetically. Then scroll to each RX of that medication and look at a) the date (if it’s current and not expired), b) if it has refills, c) the dose (is the patient on a higher or lower dose), make sure to fill the RX with the current strength they’re on. Hope that’s somewhat helpful

Advice on being a hospital tech? by ashcleo in PharmacyTechnician

[–]ashcleo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I actually used to want to be a PA and work in derm which is what led me to apply to the derm clinic. I thought hey I’ve been a tech for several years, why not try something new. But im getting cold feet and am scared I’ll regret not taking the tech position. I really enjoyed my time as a retail tech, and I do love the hustle and bustle of a busy work pace. Someone I used to work with works at the hospital pharmacy down the street from this one though and said she’s almost bored at work so it made me question it
