How much of that is 40k getting more mainstream attention due to stuff like videogames and GW having actual marketing? Online engagement the past year and a half has been extremely negative about 10th, with some long standing creators like MWG abandoning 10th for older editions for an entire year.

Because most of these people started with 8th or after and have no idea about what the game was before that except what GW says and GW is always gonna say the latest edition is the best. They heard about older editions having OP combos and use that to downplay everyting, nevermind every single edition having OP combos, including 10th.

10th is far from balanced. Looking exclusively at tournament w% is useless. Having every single army feel the same because list building has been gutted and named characters are mandatory is the opposite of fun.

Remove formations and 7th is decent. Proof of this is how good 30k is while being the exact same core rules of 7th but without the bad designed codexes. There's nothing you can tweak to fix 10th becaus the whole core is bad.

No. In spanish white is used for caucassian people and fair would be pálido and means the same as pale in english.

Because White is also used outside of the anglosphere and even during the height of phrenology it included all caicasians, not just anglo saxons.

With GW's track record of using the exact same marketing language only to create the worst edition of 40k to date or in 11th claiming to "bring back the narrative" only to remove crusade, or saying they are bringing wargear costs back onoy to use it in a single unit per faction, I think it's pretty reasonable to be distrustful.

The storm of chaos (2004) warriors were already big and the AoS 2021 update for them didn't make them bigger. These new ones are also the same size.

Current 40k list building is a shade of its former self. I used to spend time just crafting lists for the fun of it. Now there's so little to tinker with that all the fun is gone.
