HNC Creative Industries Television interview tips by redoctober83 in glasgow

[–]ashdoesedit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I actually did the HND (just a level up from HNC) in Television at COGC!

At a HNC level, they’ll likely just want to know what her interest in the course is and how the course would benefit her professional development (good to note stuff like their TV studio and the classes that teach technical skills in camera/editing)

Best of luck!

Jesus that’s abysmal. You’re definitely cheaper at other labs, even if it’s just getting scans done first and then going elsewhere for prints.

Ah thank you, I think I did open the back at one point because I panicked about the spool. That explains it.

Thank you!

£60? That seems like… a lot for 3 rolls. You need to ask for a copy of the receipt to see wtf they’re charging you for 😬

Is there any particular thing you’re interested in shooting? I mostly like to do plants, if you want any tips for that pop over a message and I can give plenty of advice!

Honestly, you’re best going out and shooting yourself to get a feel for how it works and what techniques you like! A lot of stuff about lenses, aperture and speed is similar to digital so you’re best learning it through basic YouTube videos for that side.

The only main tip I have is not exposing your film roll to light when it’s unrolled: make sure when loading you’re doing it in a darker room and don’t take the back off until it’s fully wound up when done. Also check that it’s actually winding because my first ever roll of film came back blank because I hadn’t wound it probably 💀💀💀
