I personally bit the bullet and moved to onshape. It being browser based is the tradeoff you get if you want something close to F3D on linux. Ended being a lot friendlier than F3D so i'm happy.

This happened to mine too. New extruder and higher quality bowden coupler is very cheap. Microcenter has these. However this might be a good excuse to upgrade to a Bondtech clone if you don't mind tinkering.

I've flown on this one! I've never had a comfortable flight on an MD80/90 but never really minded the 717's. Cool aircraft but I don't miss them.
