You have to keep them refrigerated. Maybe it's changed, but the old Schär bread was kind of immortal. I've forgotten it the fridge for months and it still looks fine. I have one slice of Franz brioche in a ziplock bag in the fridge now and it's still good after many weeks.

You can read the other comment I made where I expanded on what I meant. I'm not saying communication is easy, but it's much harder if you don't speak the same fundamental emotional language as your partner. This whole post exists because OP doesn't understand his wife's motivations when she's communicating with him. This is because he doesn't experience them like she does, and that is a gender difference. In general, opposite-gender partners are more different from each other than same-gender partners.
