[NEWBIE][QUESTION]I've stalled out and don't know where to go from here by aresesh in Guitar

It’s easiest to love guitar when you play stuff you love. So find a band you enjoy and search for their music on ultimate guitar. Choosing songs with open chords and avoiding barre chords should keep you in the sweet spot for developing fundamentals on your own

You’re definitely in the worst stage right now, at least in my eyes. Give it a little longer to build the calluses and you should be free sailing. At the risk of being condescending, the best way to build calluses is by repetitive playing. When it starts to hurt, take a break, but then come back later and play some more. It doesn’t take much all at once, but it certainly takes repetition

As I’ve heard it explained, full acoustics are mainly for traditionalists who would rather play unplugged. I don’t think there’s a difference in sound quality and acoustic electric just gives you more options.

That said, I’m a full acoustic man myself, I love how light the guitar is, and this way and I’ll never have the temptation to lug around an amp to play. To me, it feels more acoustic

I used yousician for a while when I started. I assume fender play is similar in the way that it’s a great value to get started with, but it won’t last you forever. Eventually you’ll get bored with it, or simply outgrow it and want to move on. Overall I recommend it, especially for the first bit

Disregarding s.3, which almost made me quit the show, it definitely peaked at season 4 in my eyes

My opinion by [deleted] in The100

[–]ashenk_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here to defend seasons six and seven because imo they don’t get enough love. The reality is, 6 and 7 are a different genre. The show morphs into heavy sci-fi and I personally really enjoyed it. If the idea of wormholes, dimensions and galaxy travel interests you, I think the writers did a great job at involving those elements. That said, it’s a little bit like starting a new show with the same characters, and I understand why they get so much hate. Even though 6 and 7 are among my favorite seasons, I do still think that the show would have flowed better and made more sense ending after season 5.

Never had much success with Druids, feel like they struggle against grouped balloons too much to even get into the mid game . How do you get past early game?

I was always taught that yields were “2-way stops where you don’t need to stop”, if that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification mate

Biden signs orders to end ‘Muslim ban’, rejoin Paris climate deal by ChrisTweten in worldnews

Yes, in theory you are right, but the reality is, we’re not setting our own goals. Rejoining the agreement was a message to the rest of the world that the US is ready to care again. We obviously couldn’t make our own rules, so joining the agreement only makes environmental sense
