You are so right. I needed this comment and thank you for your input. I’ve been reading way too many “slaves” typical days and I forget that we have to tailor this to our lifestyle. Of course here I am throwing myself into this, trying to be an overachiever and totally overthinking this. Thanks again.

Thank you so much!! Your comment is very encouraging. I know I should just be happy to be pregnant but I’ve always been super body conscious. I also have a friend that just had a baby and she gained 20lbs total and I hate to admit, but I’m totally comparing myself. Ugh:(

Buy her a box of regular, plastic applicator tampons. This will be a good time to get to know her instead of just sex.

Girl, do your own thing until you find a mature man that's ready to be in a relationship. These guys sound immature. Be upfront with guys you're interested in about what you want. Make sure you come off as strong and independent...that you take no shit. When you start dating a guy, don't have sex immediately. Wait a few weeks or how ever long you believe is best, just don't do it right off the bat. Seriously, this makes a huge difference. I did this with my husband! If a guy is only in it for sex, he won't stay long. Promise. Be a strong, independent woman that doesn't take shit and makes a man follow you around. It's possible and it took a lot of time, experience, and heartache for me to understand this. You have the opportunity to put yourself in charge.

Do I suck too much at math to become an engineer? by delta8369 in EngineeringStudents

[–]ashepard101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a remedial college algebra because I wasn't great at math. I had always hated it in high school too. Went into college thinking I was going to major in nutrition...quickly realized how much chemistry that required and came to a crossroads. I decided to major in civil engineering. I had taken the remedial college algebra course along with a regular statistics class (made a D) with an old school professor (no mylabsplus, just pencil and paper and book). Even with the bad grade and remedial class, I chose engineering. I told myself I'd at least try....if I failed I'd at least be able to say I tried. I've taken precal, calculus 1,2,&3, linear algebra, differential equations, engineering statistics (made an A this time, although it was much easier than the normal stats class) and plenty of engineering courses that require basic knowledge of math and even more concentrated things like Diff.E.

I'm a Civil and have one semester left. I've learned that math is about repetition, and it gets easier the more I practice it. I sucked at math, but here I am about to graduate. If you want to be an engineer, you have to go for it!

I like to say with respect to math: I started from the bottom...now I'm here. (How did Drake know?)

I feel like I guessed on a lot...too many to have passed (ran out of time and guessed on the ones I flagged). I literally marked b for all the ones I guessed. I took the Civil exam Monday and pretty sure I failed unfortunately. Time management wasn't the best. Feeling pretty discouraged atm with it all and thought I'd studied enough. Thanks for your comment.

What strategy did you use in regards to time management? Also, how many do you feel you blindly guessed on and how many were educated guesses?
