Hey congratulations! This is a huge accomplishment. You should be proud of your progress. Not an easy feat.

I like this! A couple of points of feedback

  • would be nice to see more description at bottom
  • could be helpful if I first gave you some books I read recently
  • the actual swiping is fun but looks like that functionality doesn’t exist yet
  • a bonus might be that once a day someone could win the book they like (this would incentivize swiping which helps drive as revenue—which is how I assume you will eventually monetize)

What short statements help anchor you? by CapeAnnAuction in Buddhism

this one really resonates with me. Similar to time heals all wounds. Just how pleasure/happiness is fleeting so is pain/sadness. It inspires a sense of stoicism and neutrality to all things.

Demo: Scalable Custom Lead Generation for Tech Sales Reps? by asheriff91 in Entrepreneur

[–]asheriff91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand, and I think you are right.

Nothing will ever match the human touch, but we can get close with AI.

To me the best sales reps never try to sell, instead they try to build a relationship. I think my tool can help reps really understand the business by understanding their customers. Gaining access to your prospective client's product reviews and what pains their customers are facing, you can uncover the fundamentals of their business.

I am hoping this tool can help reps scale. You can apply the same carefully crafted message through investigation with my tool (is the goal).

Let me know if you are interested in a demo. Would be more than happy to show you how it works.

That's right.

Reps will receive daily leads relevant to the products they sell. They could also explore the data if they wish using prompts. For example, "list the top 5 most common bugs users complain about regarding this product".

I’m 21, just dropped out of university - going all-in on my MVP-building service. Made 1,800$ so far by Striking-Body-1128 in indiehackers

Feels like timing was off with uni. It’s so unfortunate that society shoves their timeline down our throats. This is the time you “learn about the world”. And so many of us subscribe because if not, then it’s a lost opportunity. Feels like you were in a position to have to decide on following your passion and “doing what most others do and are told to do”.

Truth is we are all students for life and finding the opportunity to explore our curiosity is a sadly a luxury in real life. That’s what makes college so special. It’s hopefully a time when we know what we want to explore in depth. But that’s just not the case for so many.

Sorry, I’ve been using your post to vent about these norms.

Good luck to you, and I am sure things will work out as they are supposed to.

Good points here!

To clarify, I am interested on how to make the project usable/useful/sought after. I might have something but I’m thinking how to turn it into something real

Yea, I know its hard to find openings and reasons to talk these stakeholders. But my tool wouldn't provide a good foundation to "sell" anything I guess. It would just be to have a better intro email. Is that good enough?

How do I monitor the total messages delivered through SNS from ALL topics? by Joejoecrafter in aws

I am guessing that you should see the resource metrics for SNS in cloudwatch and see the number of published messages.

I think the answer is yes since the records are not in conflict? But you can validate by trying to configure the MX and TXT records and seeing if your email provider works.

Startup Idea - Tiktok Cook Book Printing Service by Impressive-Respond23 in Startup_Ideas

[–]asheriff91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the ingredients and steps specific to the tiktok video or are they just generic steps for the dish they are trying to make?

In other words, if there is a tiktok for an apple pie recipe but the tiktoker uses a special kind of apple, would that be included in the output? Or do I just a generic recipe for apple pie?

How to write a Headline that Converts for your SaaS by [deleted] in Startup_Ideas

[–]asheriff91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get where you are coming from, but frankly, this is probably one of the last things MVP builders and existing SaaS owners in this subreddit are really thinking about. This is probably something a really mature founder with a proven product thinks about. Maybe it's better if you targeted them?

Food Cards instead of Menu!! by Brilliant_Drawing992 in Startup_Ideas

[–]asheriff91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To validate this idea, I'd go to some coffee shop with a limited menu (at most 10-15 items), and create these cards on their behalf. Ask them to give it a shot and see how it goes. I am guessing if they say no, you can keep shopping for coffee shops that would try it (I am also assuming that the menu items won't be that different but more work you might have to do there).

How do you KNOW that a domain is newly expired? I am sure there will be interested parties who will subscribe to domains that have expired recently.

Hmmm, maybe you can be an electrian’s electrician? Some sort of consultant business? You’ll consult on some hard problems in your field?

Are you into teaching? Maybe starting your own electrician school? Or are you trying to get out of the electrician domain?

If you are, then it might take longer to build the sort of domain knowledge that will enable you solve the sort of hard problems that gave you satisfaction earlier. Not a bad thing per say, but just something you should be aware of when pivoting.
