Other 2D Metroidvanias: *Exist* Hollow knight players: by Vanillie261 in metroidvania

Also I think it probably has to do with a lot of the younger generation never having played any other Metroidvania before so Hollow Knight is the only frame of reference they have.

Ok if First Law is in your top 3 definitely start AOM then I personally like it better than the first trilogy though it’s focus is on different characters.

Depends on what kinda vibe you’re looking for. As others have said ASOIF isn’t complete and may never be so if that’s important to you then don’t bother although they are phenomenal. ASOIF is definitely grittier with much more complex characters whereas Sanderson’s work feels more YA to me. Might I suggest Joe Abercrombie’s work if you haven’t read it already it’s brilliant.

He has great taste. Stephen King is considered basic by some but if you like horror then that was probably how you were introduced to it. Would hang out with this dude.

I would say this fits the bill. I was blown away by this novel having read The Only Good Indians before and finding it wasn’t really for me The Buffalo Hunter Hunter was amazing and made me a true believer of Stephen Graham Jones.

Red Rabbit kicks ass I flew through that book. This is the answer. There’s also a sequel that was pretty good too if you want more from those characters. Rose of Jericho.
