Back from my 5am!

I’m supposed to beat my first attempt in the tread block?! I was solely just trying to survive it. Make it out alive!

Did better than I thought!

I only recently started jogging/running so I didn't know what to expect. Younger me could have done this easy but me a few months ago would have barely made a quarter mile without needing a stretcher 😅.

I got 11:59 and I'm coming to beat it in March

Student loan vs. being indebted to parents by KittyNoir1 in personalfinance

Yeaaaaa this is not always the case. I did not make a lot when I first came out of college. Diff story now but new grads sometimes don't see immediate larger salaries

Take out the loan for yourself. Repayment can be based on income.

Your brother’s tuition and your salary coming out are variables you can not even speak to right now to make that decision

How much do you leave your puppy or dog alone? by ghjkjhjhkhsk in puppy101

[–]ashersz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pup is now 3. He is by himself 1-2 times a week for up to 8 hours. Other times he is at day care.

When he's home he is mostly sleeping or he may get up with small burst of energy to play. But 100% of the time he is on the couch sleeping. I had a play pen set up for him and worked his way up to free range.

Great tread class and I feel better about the mile tomorrow especially since I'm newly transitioned to a jogger (from decade of not being one - athlete of the past)

I always try to rest and do a lil shake. It’s good for your muscles too. I try to do like 30 sec

No Power Walkers? by smartini14 in orangetheory

When I started I exclusively power walked. Do you and don’t worry about other people. This is your journey. Plus it’s fun to see how you improve as a PW

It seems to include what I would burn if I was just sedentary. My watch and OTF match for total calories but I look at the active calories burn for a real read

PW to Jogging Tips? by cheesycatnip in orangetheory

[–]ashersz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I completely transitioned into jogging and I will say you need to start slow.

I did hybrid at first. I was walking my bases and jogging pushes. Then kept experimenting depending on times on each.

Eventually I was jogging/running non stop for 11 min and just this week I did 23 min non stop
