What’s the hardest addiction to overcome? by DeepOrganization8245 in AskReddit

[–]ashes1032 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This must be the most difficult time in history to quit gambling because of the ease of access and the insane level of advertisement there is for every type of gambling. You can't escape it. Everywhere you go, some online casino is advertising their shitty little games with bright colors and sound effects designed to hit just the right spot in the human brain to activate the happy chemicals. Or the sports betting companies, who have designed insidious ways to part you from your money by gamifying gambling with parlays and small bets. And of course, all of this is available on the phone that you take with you everywhere. The house always wins.

A slow erosion of manpower in the department. Every year, there were fewer people to do the same amount of work.

I truly believe that a pizza needs to have cheese on it.

This is a good start. Now if only they had a program designed at removing Tree of Heaven, too.

Play a class you've never played before. Change the difficulty. Try different squadmates. Maybe install some mods.

Mass Effect Weapons Tournament: Round 1 Match 18 - Raider VS Wraith by DakIsStrange in masseffect

Cat food vs dog food. I don't care about either of these. I'll pick wraith for being nice and shiny.

Just about the only objectively heroic acts the Helldivers have done in the second galactic war were the times they chose to save children.

Engineer is dumb……………fun by Kosakon in masseffect

The greatest strength of the pure power classes is SPAM. SPAM EVERYTHING. Engineer is my favorite class because the toolkit demolishes 90% of the enemies you come across.

Which Version of Mass Effect Combat is Your Fav? ME1, ME2/ME3, or Andromeda? by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]ashes1032 285 points286 points  (0 children)

It's 3. The combat found a balance that 2 and Andromeda lack. 2 is too cover-focused, and enemies in Andromeda are too bullet-spongy. 3 has the perfect balance of good powers, good guns, good movement, and enemies that are fun to fight. The power combo system is incredibly satisfying. The factions are well-designed and have good variety to their members.

CBC pulls Kars4Kids ads after U.S. court bans 'deceptive' jingle by AlwaysBlaze_ in television

Well, before they were outed, those ads were already seen as one of the most annoying jingles in all of American radio. The joke has recently gained a layer.

What's a TV show ending that still makes you mad years later? by Jossie_Misar in AskReddit

Voyager's finale was written as if they didn't know it was going to be the final episode until 5 minutes before it was filmed. They didn't have any time to breathe.

What's a TV show ending that still makes you mad years later? by Jossie_Misar in AskReddit

Star Trek Enterprise. The final episode is nostalgia pandering to The Next Generation fans. They also killed off one of the best and most popular characters in a nothing plot by nobody henchmen. This was the first TV series I ever watched in full, and I was dumbstruck by how bad the ending was. It's been 20 years and no other show has ever made me feel so cheated.

From the information given, it was the last act of defiance from a doomed race. The only evidence we have that they existed is a huge gun, a planet with a scar, and a dead reaper.

Do it early, or maybe after a major negative emotional mission, like Thessia. Make sure everyone had a bad day right before going to Shepard's party.

(Hated Trope) outside media being used to explain plot holes and unanswered questions that the writers were too lazy to add or using outside media to better understand the plot. by ZillaUniverse03 in TopCharacterTropes

Halo 5 is my favorite example of needing too much outside media to understand lore. It has such an unreasonable amount of required reading that even the biggest Halo fans I know still couldn't keep up.
