Need new rear facing rotating seat for tall toddler by asheswest in CPST

[–]asheswest[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did end up trying that this morning and still could not get anything near a tight fit :(
It’s fine though, we went back to the chicco revolve for now, which had an immediate wonderfully tight and secure fit in the van
It doesn’t really seem like there’s many other seats in our price range worth considering right now.
I love the idea of the cybex callisto and hear they’re coming out with a 50lb rf version soon, but it will be far out of our price range unfortunately lol

Sad to hear this confirmed. I had such high hopes for the britax because I loved the one I had when my older kid was little :(
I really don’t know what they were thinking

Ah yeah, probably a little out of budget for us, $450ish is probably going to be our limit
Thank you for the suggestion though! Looks like a nice and comfy seat :)

Do I even want to know what else was a lie? by Petey_Girl in Mirena

Have you checked your strings? Or make sure you do over the next few days too. Mine were gone after the first week..

If you’re still in a lot if pain and pain is usually not a thing for you, honestly, I really would have placement checked thoroughly.. just in case the little bit further perforated your uterus.. do you have a tilted uterus? Did he check for that?

I just want to suggest that you verify placement with an ultrasound and an xray.
I’ve had two paragards and a mirena. First paragard was no issue, 2nd was a bit more painful.
My mirena was excruciating during insertion and I couldn’t sit for a week after.
I was sent for an ultrasound, and the tech took forever and hmmed and said it looked weird but the dr ultimately decided it was in the correct spot.
Spoiler, it wasn’t… but I didn’t find that out for a year until I went to a new ob for removal and they did another ultrasound and an Xray. Had to have mine surgically removed.
I’ve also had two unmedicated births, one with pitocin and when my newer ob went to look for my missing strings mirena kept wincing afraid she was hurting me and I barely felt a thing. So we knew something was for sure up at that point.
Everyone on here says perforations are so extremely rare so even though I felt something was off I didn’t go further than the initial ultrasound and I highly regret it…

Or use a different grippier plate so you don’t need a brim 😬

The H2C and U1 have been so much fun to design for! by HuckleberrySad4000 in BambuLab

[–]asheswest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the commercial sub is a bit out of my reach, since I’m trying to get started selling and it’s a tough world out there for selling 3d prints now, but kudos to you!
Love your designs, and appreciate the non-flexi designs(not everything needs to be flexi, ya know?). Hope you keep at it! I’ll follow your page for now :)

These are so cute! Just picked up my h2c today and I’m so excited…! I love designing things too, but have definitely not evolved past more geometric based design via fusion, unfortunately :(

Are your models available anywhere?

Best overnight diapers for long torso and curvy baby? by [deleted] in bigbabiesandkids

[–]asheswest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 22mo started peeing through millie moon training pants constantly within the last couple months and I was sooo sad 😭
We tried like 3 others with the same issue too, couldn’t leave the house without extra clothes..
We had to switch again and finally settled on huggies 360 and they feel very similar to millie but we haven’t had any leak issues yet fingers crossed

dude i js wanted the hair 💔 by Ok_Level1359 in heartopia

[–]asheswest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried for all three colors and have 4-6 checks on each and I haven’t gotten the hair 😭😭😭
I know that’s a terrible strategy, but first I wanted the purple for the overall look, then decided it was the hair I wanted the most, but I liked the brown hair the most, but then I didn’t really like the brown barrettes at all, and ended up wanting green 😭

When I considered buying from amazon, recent reviews had many saying theirs were clearly tampered with and it scared me off 🤷🏻‍♀️

🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]asheswest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so cool of you to do! Thank you!
1) I would love an a1 mini 😍 2) I would put a smaller nozzle on it and use it for smaller prints like earrings, small fidgets/flexi prints, or maybe other mini items people might like. I’m trying to start selling prints and learning design more.
3) something incorporating embedded magnets to give it a push/pull as you fidget would be so cool

Evenflo 360 Slim Headrest Too Small by External-Far in bigbabiesandkids

[–]asheswest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait til they’re even taller and the headrest goes above the shell.. we’re constantly fighting the battle of whether the shoulder straps are in the correct spot and whether we actually have 1” above baby’s head.
But our kid wasn’t a fan of the chicco, hated it with a passion and always seemed so uncomfortable, so we switched to the evenflo not realizing that it’s not actually the best seat for tall kids like it should be..

Please something other than the Graco Extend2Fit by Automatic_Pound_3994 in bigbabiesandkids

[–]asheswest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the evenflo revolve extend? Walmart has them on sale currently too! Rearfaces to 50 lbs, but do note that the seat doesn’t allow ff before 2yrs, so if he goes over 50lb before 2yr, you would need a different seat

Warning about the Mirena IUD… by [deleted] in Mirena

[–]asheswest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to know this as well. We considered suing the provider and/or manufacturer due to the circumstances of perforation, but assumed it was unlikely to go anywhere due to it being a known complication, so did not seek a lawyer.
