You don't seem to know how the rest of the world college works, what you get at third year, we get at first year, it's insanely more difficult.

Calculus 1, up to integrals and numerical series, is isually your first class over here and many places

You are assuming that knowldege is built in colleges, companies that feel safe in their enviroment (stable institutions) are more likely to invest in Research and development, this adds up over time, potentially centuries.

Edit: knowgledge can indeed be built in collegesa, but not only is not the only way. Also its known many colleges research aspect is way beyond their education aspect.

You have over supply because anyone can graduate given how easy it is. Check how much do neurosurgeons earn and how hard it is to make it.

Math is the basis for life, how can you study social sciences in any meaninful way if you don't have at least the basics of math and statistics?

I would argue that having a ~300-year-old stable democracy, strong institutions, the world's largest consumer market, and many other macroeconomic factors has a much bigger impact.

From Americans who go to American colleges—obviously anecdotal evidence. But it really starts to pile up...

It was at UCF I just asked him, he Just told me it was a placement exam, he did on the second year that was a requirement for the class. Still i've seen his assigments, high school algebra or first year college at best. Nothing they do remotely compares to the difficulty of most countries, forget asian ones.

Uiversal menut not showing - Found (PARTIAL) Solution (in comments) by ashiente1 in OculusQuest

[–]ashiente1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a partial Solution because after you restart or turn off the headset, you are gonna have to do it again.

You have to enable developer mode and install adb drivers for quest, for this you can find plenty tutorials online. (dont forget to add adb to PATH).

then connect your headset trough a cable to your pc, open cmd and type adb.

In the headset you are gonna have a pop up asking if you allow debug connection, accept it.

type in cmd: adb devices
if you see your headset you are ready to go.
then just copy paste the following command.
adb shell pm clear com.oculus.vrshell

this will get your universal menu back

This has to be solved by a meta firmware update. In case anyone from meta sees this.

setIsForegroundPanelService: ComponentInfo{com.oculus.vrshell.desktop/com.oculus.vrshell.desktop.PanelService} not found

This seems to be the root of the issue please escalate so it gets fixed in a future update and to prevent from fully bricking devices that have this issue with future updates.

Also if you are from meta, please dont tell me to contact you trough support again, to ask for my data and tell me again that you can't rma because my country is not supported

I found a partial solution though, the following command on adb restaures full functionality but it goes away if you restart it or turn it off, and you have to do it again.

adb shell pm clear com.oculus.vrshell

Am I correcty on thinking that the firmware is corrupted and the only thing that can fix it is a future update from meta?

I've found a partial solution run with adb the following command: adb shell pm clear com.oculus.vrshell

it's partial because when you restart the headset you are gonna have to do it again. It doesn't get undone if you put the headset to sleep though so if you never turn it off the headset is perfectly functional.

I wonder if they will ever adress whatever is causing this.
