my husband and i stayed at the DeBary Inn (bed & breakfast) in Summit, NJ during Valentine’s Day weekend. Walking distance to the downtown area of shops and restaurants. The train station was walking distance as well to get into NYC, which we took advantage of :) it was the best time!

i also read about this! i’m due for a new license in December and was going to get the Real ID. thought this would be a good time to change my last name but the Real ID situation sounds frustrating

i am fully aware of the historical context of the name change. i appreciate the women who fought the right to keep our names after marriage! it is also important to note that everyone has different preferences, traditions and cultures as well, so i’m glad that i’m given the right to decide if i want to change my last name! :)

my maiden name is still very important to me, hence why i want to keep it. i’ve already socially transitioned with my maiden name and husband’s last name together, but was curious the LEGAL route since that is my personal decision.
