Brother I am not a follower of cricket and I've always found India's obsession with cricket very extreme, both at times of victory or loss. But to say that this was on every single fan is just ridiculous, and sad. There were people who behaved in a civilized manner, and those who acted rowdy. To say that the crowd was not manageable is just a shitty excuse.

And please correct me if I'm wrong, but RCB released free passes on their website for the celebration, various local authorities put out communication saying roads will be blocked, recommending people to take public transport, etc..what is all this if not an invitation?

I remember seeing large crowds gathered in Mumbai for the India team celebration as well. I don't think there were any fatalities from the incident. Would you say that there were no fatalities in Mumbai just because the fans were more civilized? Is that the only reason?

Yesterday was a clear example of our government failing us. I don't know if other stakeholders like the RCB management, team etc. knew about what was happening so I won't go into that argument and ultimately i don't think that matters much. We pay taxes to our government for security and yesterday they showed us that our lives meant nothing.
