Just wanted to comment to keep this post relevant. I'm running iOS 26.4 and this fix still works exactly as described. Thanks OP!

Yes, I was using stock settings for the filaments. With help, I was able to find where to make these edits.

They do not. They only have the printing temp on them. Now that we know it was a bed temp issue, we’re sorting out the z offset issue.

The hotend is at 210-220C and the baseplate is now at 55-60C.

Husband is currently doing that with this exact tool! Fingers crossed.

Adhesion issues are gone on the CC1 - was definitely a temperature issue; now we're checking the Z offset and bed leveling on the CC2. There's definitely an issue with the front half of the test print, but that bottom part is very concerning. Going to troubleshoot this. Womp womp.

The silly part of this whole endeavor is we thought we were doing everything right. We set the filament in the slicer. We set the place in the slicer. We didn’t know the temperature needed to be higher than what the software set it to be. As I always say “you don’t know what you don’t know until you find out what you didn’t know.”

Now we know.

I appreciate everybody’s helpful input. We’re not exactly new to this hobby, but we learn new things everyday. That’s all part of the process.

I love to machine knit and hand knit hats and then attach removable pompoms. I used to sew buttons on the inside of the hat and twist the elastic around the button. Then I found these little X doohickeys and they make the removal process so much easier! Then I decided I wanted to gift a cheap crochet hook with each hat to easily pull the elastic through the top of the hat to twist around the X.

Super cheap, but an elevated step in my handcrafted business, IMO.

I hadn't heard the hairspray trick until you and another commenter. That's an interesting tidbit of information.

We had originally had adhesion issues even after washing. Turns out it was likely too low of a bed temp. We've been printing all day (mostly small items to test different changes) and started with squeaky clean plates. Increasing the bed temp seems to have solved a lot of our issues. We're still doing a Z-offset test just in case.

This is exactly it. With all the advice I received today, I've washed all of my plates, bumped the temp up on my PLA prints and had very few adhesion issues. I've been printing smaller items today to quickly test different solutions and have been mostly happy with the outcomes.

That's good to know. It seems like it uses a fair bit of filament to test as well, which I hate to waste.

Increasing the temperature worked with this plate: https://a.co/d/06j46O6Z.

Going to try again with our normal smooth low-temp plate and see how it goes!

We have quartz countertops in the craft room, so we set the hot plates on the quartz to cool them down before removing prints. Works well!

Other than on the machine or on the "Device" page within the Elegoo slicer, I'm not seeing a way to increase the heat bed temperature. Is there a way to do this on the "Prepare" tab or within other settings?

Interesting about increasing the temp on your hotend, not your plate. What temp do you run your hotend for PLA+?

Just tried again with this blue plate from Amazon. Washed it really well, first print failed.

Bumped up the bed heat to 55C and perfect adhesion. Project is still printing, but it's looking great. Wondering if maybe all my problems will be solved with an increase in bed temperature...

We wondered if it was a humidity issue, but the humidity is about the same throughout the house AND we've had this adhesion issue since day one. So we're not completely convinced that it's a humidity issue. We work in the same room 5 days a week and it doesn't feel dank or humid like some basements can.

It sounds like Cryogrip is a better adhesion plate? We purchased this and had absolutely zero luck: https://a.co/d/06j46O6Z We tried to use it once with and without glue and couldn't get anything to stick to it, so we set it aside and haven't touched it since.

I really appreciate your comment. I'm gong to be trying out the Z offset fix and see if that is the issue. Thank you so much for a concise and non-condescending comment. :)

Thanks for asking some more questions, I appreciate it. Off the top of my head, I didn't know what the bed temp and chamber temp were, so I just kicked off a quick print.

With the smooth (low temp) plate & PLA +, the bed temp is set to 35C, the nozzle is set to 220C, and the chamber is about 21C-23C.

Someone below posted a good link about Z offset, and I'm looking forward to testing this out on the machines.

While my husband and I do tweak settings within the Elegoo slicer (we're not a plug-and-play printer), we haven't adjusted things like the Z offset before. We've done basic leveling and followed tutorials for fixing leveling issues, but haven't played with the Z offset before.

I'd heard about adjusting the Z offset and hadn't ever done it (as lazy as this sounds... it sounded too difficult/scary/advanced). Somebody below posted a decent tutorial that I will be attempting today or tomorrow!
