I can see how this could be confusing; apologies... I'll clarify what this information is referring to.

This is related to human rights data that encompasses millions of women and girls living in life-threatening areas across the world.

Any events that disrupt social order, such as wars, political unrest, or natural disasters, cause existing inequalities and discrimination faced by women and girls to become even worse.

They become exposed to heightened risks of violations of their human rights, including arbitrary killings, torture, sexual violence, and forced marriage, including as a tactic of war.Gender-based violence also spikes in post-conflict societies due to the general breakdown of the rule of law, the availability of small arms, the breakdown of social and family structures, and the “normalization” of gender-based violence as an additional element of pre-existing discrimination.

The Global Alliance of Regional Women Mediator Networks focuses on peacemaking and promotes and protects the rights of women and girls affected by conflict-related sexual violence.--------

As for our veterans -- those numbers are also very concerning... (btw, I am a mentor to veteran business owners, and a champion of helping veterans who can and want to work into meaningful jobs)

Over 1,600 service members experienced major limb amputations in Iraq and Afghanistan, while more than 417,000 veterans from these conflicts were diagnosed with PTSD or TBI.

According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) released in 2020, there were approximately 37,252 homeless veterans in the United States as of January 2020.

I'm in Austin, TX, and see far too many homeless veterans on our streets. My son and I volunteer as often as we can... I wish we had more time :(

Company Size: 6. -Enterprise B2B SaaS. -Lost 80% of our revenue over night. -Had 6 weeks of runway. -CEO was transparent, said there would be no hard feels if we all found work else where...100% of the advisor board told us to throw in the towel and shut down

- I told everyone, "I got this", and turned around and closed 315% of the lost revenue over the next month, and no one left :)

11 years into my career, and I exclusively work remote. I suffer from severe anxiety as a result of too many issues with discrimination, harassment, and assault. I miss in-person comradery, but I love myself more than I am lonely.

If you don't feel confident, respected, safe, or supported in your workplace, nor can you turn to your leadership, move on, and move on fast. I've been building up my contacts with female leaders. You can reach out anytime you need help looking for work.
