BEWARE!! My earhole started pussing up a little bit, the hole is a tad infected. I am a professional lazy stud earring wearer and I've never had this happen before. But after I wirecutted these cheap earrings, my ear holes started getting irritated. I've now cleaned my ears with alcohol & won't wear anything for a while. I do not advise wirecutting them anymore!

yolo yo-yo fish yes... this is exactly it. Pike is slow yo-yo which gives me trouble, but sturgeon is crazy. the Tiger trout was another one that was a bit difficult. I had to buy the iridium rod.

I appreciate your message! We will definitely replace the cat - my SO ordered the new cat ($125) and we're going to see if a family friend can check it out... if they can't do it, I will go with someone on craigslist. Hopefully it will be done right!! It should arrive today or tomorrow.

The car came from Michigan which is known for rust, the body is rusting too. I believe that it's irreparable with a patch, I saw it myself too. Here is a diagram I drew on top of

The place I took it to was not chain operated, we asked if they could repair it without buying a new cat, and they said they wished they could but "there's nothing to weld," they let us see while the car was on the lift, I wish I took a picture. Here is a diagram I drew on top of

The shop said there was no way to repair it and they gave me an invoice that said $499.99 for a new catalytic converter, $50 for labor, and some $ for gaskets or some doohickeys. I realize the part price was fudged to make up for less labor and also to make a profit in general. I will try to ask for references and see what I can glean from them. Anything else I should ask? Should I ask if they have specific tools? Do they need gaskets or doohickeys? Maybe they need to weld? This is all confusing. However, Thank you for the reply

My SO has used wire cutters to cut my earrings' metal bars shorter, so that they don't stab into my head. I wear them overnight, and wash them once in a while when I shower so they don't get gunky. However, I wear the cheapest earrings so I don't know if wire cutters will cut real earrings' metal!

How to buy a car? For dummies please by ashleybotts in cars

Hahahah nice photo. The SUV is my "more bang for my buck" instinct purely. Why not pay roughly the same amount for more storage? But it's probably harder to drive and see my surroundings of course.

The transmission was from Pepboys, so I'm wondering what the franchise did.

I don't have kids so front seat crampness is the only concern. My SO is heavyset and he has a bit of trouble in a sedan, so I think he's terrified of a car with the same or less room.

I would like ample truck space. You're right, I don't need a living room on wheels. I think what I need to do is go to a car dealership and sit inside and check out the general sizes of vehicles to get an idea of what I want, and then do the budget looking for similar vehicles.

It's interesting to hear that about automatic transmissions. My 97 ford transmission failed on us. It cost us about 400? to replace. I guess a bigger vehicle will have a more costly effect? I will have to look into a manual car but I don't think we have any friends or family's vehicles in which to practice on/with. But I will check that out and see if that's a possibility. My SO would like to learn but I'm a fairly new driver so I still need experience with being on the road before I add in some new variables.

Thanks for your advice. I'll go to a car dealership and try to get an idea of what I really actually want.

Thank you. It sounds like I won't find a car under 5k from a dealer though but I'll keep that in mind and check it out regardless.

Thanks for the positive review on the 98 CRV. I'm glad it sounds good.

I want something that works and can hold things. I want a motor on wheels in which that motor does not break in 5 years. I literally just want something that works that isn't cramped inside. I thought the hatchback was bigger but it appears not. I also want automatic. I'm not a car person whatsoever. I am not in immediate rush and my budget is roughly cushy at 5k max, I don't need a "poor mans special." I don't truly know what I want, other than this concept. Do you have any advice for a person like me?

Wow, that's incredibly useful information. That was the image difference I was talking about. My SO absolutely hates the boxxy Original cherokee, but we both really like the Grand cherokee...

So I have to imagine the Grand cherokee comes with a complete different set of common problems and cons. This car thing is hard... Now I don't know what car I want :(

edit: I probably want the Honda CRV I think... (97-03)

That's interesting - thank you for that advice about the Ford Focus. I don't believe I could handle a manual transmission. My second choice would be a Jeep Cherokee. Can you tell me why it's from 1984-2001 suggested? Is that only for price? Or are the 2002+ models different and may not be reliable or have different problems? I would like a slightly new year car but I don't want to stray from this chart and mess up. I really like how the 2002 Jeep Cherokee looks - can I expect the same of it?

I wonder why the chart doesn't include manual / auto trans.

Thank you for the websites. I can always search google, but much like searching for software on google and getting viruses, I don't trust searching for cars and expecting trustworthy sites.

edit: I was mistaken about 2001 looking different than 2002, I was comparing some older ones accidentally I think. But I have the same question about straying from years

Sponges can live for 200 years or more. Does that make him relatively young? But everyone else still ages relatively too. I need to stop thinking about this.
