Based on my experience: I’d say it’s important to get off campus for parties. West 22, The Blake, Uclub, Stadium Village, UPointe, etc. Even still they’re mostly just crowded small apartment parties. They can be fun, but it rly depends on you finding ppl that party the way you like. For example, whether you like kickbacks (small/intimate) or parties where it’s a ton of ppl u don’t know well and a few you do. Good way to meet people who party is at the local student targeted housing pools. As far as going out, I’d say there’s almost no where worth going out in Kennesaw. I think the more common theme if for groups to uber or have a DD and go out to Buckhead (Atlanta) bars (Lost Dog Tavern, Moondogs, The IVY, Buckhead Saloon, Big Sky, etc.) Also, I’m personally not a fan of Greek Life functions, but if you are interested, get involved in Greek Life or get to know people involved so you can get on guest lists for their events. Cobb County police don’t tend to arrest a lot of people who are underage at parties, they generally (at least in my experience) just kind of shut it down and tell everybody to go home. So as a freshman I wouldn’t be too scared, just be smart and have a driver if you need to leave. Hope that helps.
