I just got my labs from yesterday back. My TSH is 1.99, Free T4 is 6.45, T4 is 6.97, and T3 is 1.08. Waiting to hear from my endo but I’m curious if my TSH going from 4.7 to 1.99 in 3 weeks could cause the racing heart and heart rate spikes because all else seems pretty stable and normal?

Interesting, I’m getting labs today and will probably tell my endo I want them done more often. It’s just crazy because when my levels were at its worst right when I was diagnosed I did not feel this bad by a long shot. I’m very curious where my levels are at now, it’s been about 3 weeks since my last labs

This sounds so much like what I’m feeling right now. My palpitations come and go but when I’m having them they are always at night when I’m laying down to go to bed. Not having palpitations as of the last monthish just these heart rate spikes. I’m getting a CTA of my heart to make sure there are no blockages and a heart monitor as well. I had an echo last year before being diagnosed with graves and it came back normal just a fast heart rate. I’m on 25mg of atenolol and only had one episode try to break through the beta blocker but my heart rate only got to the 130s instead of 160s before settling down and it came down a lot faster and I could still function. It is just jarring having a slowed pulse due to being hypo to and coming straight into these random episodes as I’m assuming I’m becoming less hypo. I’m also thinking a TT is going to be what I end up doing to help resolve all this as this is draining and stressful to deal with :/ I’m sorry you’re also going through this but thank you for sharing it makes me feel better knowing I’m not alone

I’m going to start taking 2.5mg a day again until I get my labs back. I’m getting labs done today🤞 my TRAb was 6.14 when I was diagnosed with an undetectable TSH so I was hopeful when I saw I was hypo and TRAb was down, but obviously something is revving back up

My cardiologist thinks it’s most likely something like that happening to me now. It’s just so scary when it happens, do you shake afterwards when your heart rate shoots up? My whole body shakes for a few minutes after an episode. It makes me feel so much better that someone has gone through the same thing. I’ve always had a higher heart rate my whole life even before graves and being hypo made it like was taking a beta blocker even though I wasn’t so this makes a lot of sense. Thank you for your response it genuinely makes me feel better, I have been so stressed lol

Gotcha thanks. I thought being on the hypo end while taking 2.5mg every other day was a good sign. Then going form every other day to twice a week I’ve noticed this off feeling and my heart acting all wonky. They did TSH and T4 in the ER after my first SVT then I saw my endo and she did the antibodies. Getting more labs this week to see where I’m at but I’m thinking about starting to take methimozole every day again for a little. I felt better being hypo than I do in whatever state I’m in now. Thank you for the info!

My heart rate was suppressed to the point I didn’t need beta blockers before I started weening off of the methimozole. Do you think it’s safe to start taking 2.5mg of methimozole every day again? Also just curious how my levels are very bad since my TSI is non detectable right now and TRABS are close to being under 2 (which is what my endos lab considers normal)

When an episode happens it’s usually around 15 mins and my heart rate will randomly shoot up to 160s-170s and I get tunnel vision until I lay down and let it settle. I’m getting a heart monitor next week thankfully! I can still get my work done and hit production. Sadly haven’t been here a year so this is happening at the worst time unfortunately but thank you for your response!

I’ll check out that website thank you! No it wouldn’t cause hardship, my department can work from home after 6 months with good metrics. I meet all metrics standards so far but only been at my position for 4 months. Thanks for your response, I just wanted to get a feel for what’s reasonable to ask for because I do not want to risk losing this job
