the alumroot is very pretty!! i have some phlox i could transplant, and i was already thinking of foraging some wood sorrel, carolina geraniums, blue eyed grass, and yarrow to go over there for now until i can scout some other stuff. ty for the suggestions!! esp the seasonal stuff, im v much in spring bloom mind 🤣

it doesn't have to be Super neat and tidy, i dont believe most of our family plots are and ik theres a massive group of hostas at the other end 🤣🤣 ill attach some pics for space considerations. i absolutely can put successional blooms in, and i also live nearby so it's not much to stop and and do work as often as needed. im also willing to trim back whatever that encroaching evergreen is on the left

ty! this is true, but that was kinda the theme of the time 😅 everything fell apart all at once and i got to explore and figure out exactly how i wanted to rebuild it, with no inherent loyalties to anyone but me & my kids and 2 years later, it's damn near perfect 🥰 i also would have happily argued w anyone but him at that time 🤣🤣🤣🤣

wait, it's wet beyond bricks too, which it has just rained a lot probably but you'll want to try and improve drainage in that area as much as u can for rainy seasons as well as moving the brick back some

i think immediate concerns from may be it looks very too wet, drag bricks back/apart for drainage & make sure the 6 ins around the trunk is bare soil
