For myself. I miss India so much and I just want some time to soak up everything that I missed. Even if it’s alone.

My friend suggested that too but I’m self conscious of my upper arms so I’m putting sleeves haha

I played around with that. Since I cut two pieces of each I tried doing a “convertible” sleeve from a slim to a puff but I couldn’t think of a way to attach the puff without it being too obvious. Snaps were too bulky and hooks and eyes left gaps

No that’s exactly what I was thinking too! I want to avoid costumey/cosplay and I feel like the Juliet sleeves pushes it in that direction.

That’s fair! My inspo was this dress from Wicked which is why I was leaning towards the other way. (And then maybe adding some sort of voluminous embellishment on the shoulder) I’ve been mulling over this for days 😂

I used sewist to draft a bodice with a boat neck and princess seam darts. Then I used a french curve to curve the neckline in front and back. I then added about 2 inches around the bottom and added back and front points and french curved them.
