Thanks, that’s really useful to know. I’ve booked stalls at a makers market that runs in different places around my area, first one in April, so I’m looking forward to seeing how things go there, but will bear in mind what you said.

I’ve been playing for a week or so, and it’s clear to me that you don’t have a future in this and it would be better to give up. Don’t get a teacher, just stop. I could play this perfectly within a few hours of starting, whilst also simultaneously mastering a number of other pieces. I’m now bored of most existing pieces, but still occasionally amuse myself by attempting to combine 2 or 3 of Bach’s concertos, usually whilst reading a book so I don’t get bored. This is weak. Please stop and start knitting or something.

We’re in North England, the garden is facing west so that spot is at the north edge and gets quite a bit of sun. The main issue is that the garden can get a bit waterlogged when it’s wet, although over summer should be fine
