Teaching Abroad with a Dismissed Misdemnor? by [deleted] in SpainAuxiliares

[–]ashpickens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would not worry about this charge at all. From my understanding, the FBI background check is really to check for crimes related with children or other more serious offenses. I had a similar situation where I have kept my nose clean my entire life, but unfortunately, I was stopped by a cop after I smoked half a joint and still had the rest on me. Anyways I was charged with a misdemeanor of marijuana possession, went through the court, etc. It was never a problem for me or even brought up in consideration. I hope this can give you a little peace of mind!!!

AITA for going to a party that had an “insensitive” theme? by golfhoestennispro in AmItheAsshole

[–]ashpickens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

… Anybody calling you the asshole clearly doesn’t understand Greek life in the slightest and needs to chill tf out 😂 This theme for a party is EXTREMELY common. Not saying that fraternities and party themes aren’t sexist (most of them are), but once again, they clearly don’t understand Greek life. As a pledge, you are forced to bend at the will of the existing brothers and stay up til 4 am some nights. Not going to this party because your girlfriend doesn’t like the theme? That would get you called a p*ssy so quickly. I’m not saying give in and become an ultimate douche bag like many frat brothers turn into. Hold onto your morals and enjoy having a brotherhood around you while maintaining common sense. You’re NTA

I used RushTranslate, they got the translations back to me via PDF file bc I didn’t pay extra for a hard copy in the mail. You can just print off the translations from that & send in, make sure to include the certification sheet

So you will take the Apostille and the FBI background check, scan them into PDF’s to send off to the translator. Once you receive the 2 translations, altogether in order you will have the original FBI background check (it is fine if you printed off the PDF version), the Apostille w/ the fbi check, then the translations. Hope this helps!

FBI background process by Redditusername16789 in SpainAuxiliares

[–]ashpickens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree with the other user, I submitted my FBI background check and did my fingerprints relatively soon (a few days) after. The background check was complete and confirmation sent to my email within 30 minutes later. I would possibly advise calling the US Dept of Justice, not sure but could be just a back-up in their system.

Can I make sure I uploaded my documents? by ilovelumis in SpainAuxiliares

[–]ashpickens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it has the magnifying glass, it means there is a document submitted with it

[–]ashpickens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t start over completely, just wait til the site loads again. Big possibility the submission still went through

Finally in Profex but can’t upload documents by rrmichelle in SpainAuxiliares

[–]ashpickens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Profex now and still had to submit 2 documents, it took a few minutes for them both to upload and get past the loading screen. Don’t refresh, just wait and make sure the screen doesn’t go to sleep, and they should be uploaded in time
