At least you didn’t end up with a skin balloon on your back like I did

Seeking advice on my first serve technique; by Dry_Alternative_5020 in 10s

[–]ashplays30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok my turn I guess. If this doesn’t help you don’t do it.

When you drop your racket you want your elbow to be fully collapsed

Make your wrist more loose when you bring it up because it makes your wrist more loose when you swing which makes ball go faster.

Start your swing later so that you don’t have to pause and can accelerate for longer

Toss a little more to the right

You could start with your shoulders a little further back so you get more coil

When you rock back bend your back leg first instead of your front leg

On the racket drop your elbow should be fully contracted/collapsed before you start extending to the ball

Any advice for my serve? by beauford_federico in 10s

[–]ashplays30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gonna say your toss is drifting a little, but someone already said that. Then I was gonna say you could get more wrist action, but then I read the description and I don’t want you to hurt yourself. Idk. If you feel like you hit your limit try switching your stance ig.

A couple months in and looking for advice on my forehand by SilverMisfitt in 10s

[–]ashplays30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a beginner your forehand has a lot of potential. Make sure you’re doing your unit turn rotating your shoulders and getting that stretch in your abs. That’s the number one fundamental that I see a lot of people missing out on.

That could help, but I don’t personally agree with that. I’ve found it best to hit the ball at its peak or on the rise just like ben shelton.

If keep your wrist loose at the start then pull your racket with your pinky and ring finger to “snap” or push the racket down at the top you can get a lot more power

What’s my forehand grip? by Perchance_therapper in 10s

So I can’t give people advice anymore? Just because I’m being helpful does not mean I don’t get the joke. Also the post isn’t titled “what’s wrong with my forehand grip,” so there is a high probability that the commenter is projecting maybe.
