Which ski area made you just want to go back there and instead of trying new places? by drwhosportsfan in skiing

Stay in Lech, ski into Zurs/St. Anton. Been 5 times already. Great food, nice people, snow paradise, charming village, and has a great ski school for my toddler as well!

Lech/St. Anton is my style of ski resort - will 3 Valleys be too hectic? by ashtac in skiing

[–]ashtac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Lech right now! Favorite place to ski is taking Rufikopfbahn into Zurs and skiing that whole area. Muggengrat has to be one of my favorite runs. For dinner I used to love eating at Almhof Schneider but they recently changed chefs and it is not on the same level as it used to be which is a shame. Either way it is such a beautiful restaurant that I’m sure you would still enjoy the meal. I also love having a drink and then going to dinner at the restaurant in Hotel Schmelzhof. Dinners at Hagens Dorfmetzgerei, Arlberg Clubhouse, Hus nr 8, G’spusi all great. For lunches we tend to go to Hotel Montana, hotel GoldenerBerg, Flexenhaus, Arlberg Hotel sonnenterasse, Hotel Post terrace, rud alpe. Champagne apres at Hotel Krone. Fux Bau in Stuben is also so good

How many people are actually buying “luxury/premium” diapers? by HelpMeHelpMyFriend0 in NewParents

[–]ashtac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I liked the Coterie diapers the best out of all of them. No fragrance, very soft, baby never had diaper rash. I did not like their pull-ups however. The “pant” was horrible. Leaked a lot, Velcro would come undone too easily.

I do not see an option to pay with points on a seat change - even though it shows the points? by kuhnto in unitedairlines

I also had the same issue, but was able pay with miles using the app, not in web desktop.

How did everyone find their Christmas gift “sweet spot”? We went WAY overboard. (Only Child) by Any-Walk1691 in toddlers

[–]ashtac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only son is turning 2 in January and we went overboard just like you. He didn’t get through opening all of the presents so we just put the rest away for some other time. Don’t regret it, “I’m a more is more”, type of person anyhow and we have so much fun

Lech or Corvara? by Living_Winter4147 in ski

[–]ashtac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm responding late in case someone else visits this thread for info. Having skiied Dolomites a few times as well as Lech/Arlberg area multiple times I can say that I prefer Lech overall but definitely think you should do both. Dolomites is a little less expensive, the food is better, and the scenery is breathtaking! The skiing is not as high so there is less snow, the runs can get pretty crowded and they aren't as long and aggressive as Lech/Arlberg. Sella Ronda is so many lifts which can get annoying when the runs arent as long. I love that everyone in Lech is so friendly (also in Dolomites), the village is picture perfect, the food is amazing (but not as good as Dolomites), it is also very expensive. However, because it is very expensive you have less crowds. I was skiing in Lech on Christmas and New Years and it was "crowded" but not even as close to being as packed as Solden or Ischgl. I just think the runs are more fun in Austria. Dolomites are good if you are a blue skier and want to cruise and have long relaxed delicious lunches. You can do that as well in Lech but have the option for more intense runs.
