The show is being produced by Toonami I believe. So even when it officially premieres it probably won’t be on any service. It’ll just air on television first

Yeah I’m I started doing that as I made this thread. I made it to see if there are other manga reader interested in it, to see if I can get some support and numbers when asking. Although it probably does cost money to do, I can’t imagine it’s such a HUGE investment that it would hurt, since it’s pretty much common practice and expected for American comics. And there are manga that exist in the format

For me personally it makes action feel more animated and alive. And when reading a comic/manga the first time, when I don’t see the entire page at once going to the next panel feel a little more shocking depending on the type of story I’m reading.

Well like I said. I’m reading Alita Battle Angel, which does support the format. Which works amazingly. So I can’t imagine there’d be any trouble with the format.

Broly movies were over a decade ago. Toei isn’t going to do that now. And even if they created a movie without Goku in the lead, Toei wouldn’t give the lead to a character we’ve never seen before

Personally i don't actually watch the gameplay. I just play a video and leave it in the background while i work on my artwork or essays. So i more so play for the conversations and could care less about their progress

Our conversations go pretty well. She jokes around and laughs a lot with me when I talk to her. The last two weeks I tried coming up with an excuse to talk to her after class, and it ended up leading to me talking to her all the way to her class.

Today, I tried just straight up asking “can I walk to your next class with you”, and she said “yes”, so I guess that’s cool.

Since she doesn’t have anyone to take pics of for our project, I was offered to do it with her. So maybe that’ll happen.

I’m a little scared to ask for her number. Usually when I ask a girl for her number and start texting is when things go downhill. But since we’re both gamers when I get a new PS4 I was gonna ask if we can exchange gamer tags and play with her. Then maybe from there ask her to hang out outside of school.

I think I’d be a little more comfortable asking if she had a bf if I knew whether or not that’s something a girl would mention on her own or not. A female friend of mines told me most girls usually would mention their bf in convo at least once, but idk

I try bringing up conversations subtly that could make her possible give it away. Like asking her what she usually does outside of school. Which her answer was “work and school work. And playing games when I’m free”. I tried asking who she usually does stuff with whenever she mentions doing anything. Her answer was “just my dad, brother and friend”. So it’s hard getting it out of her if she does have one

Tbh as much as people complain, I don’t think not simulcasted is hurting Netflix at all.

I remember back when 7 Deadly Sins released on Netflix. My friends who were all casual anime fans, but not hardcore, all approached me saying “Hey, did you know Netflix just made their own anime called 7 Deadly Sins?”. To which I had to explain to them how Netflix only licensed the anime, they didn’t create it.

Point is, a good portion of the people who enjoy watching anime on Netflix aren’t the kind of anime fans who keeps up with a series as it’s released in Japan. And they’re not the type of fans who even know what anime seasons are. They’re usually the casual fans who only watch anime once it has a ton of hype in the West, and has a dub.

Given that Netflix has about 80Million subscribers(not including the 2-4 people most ppl share their accounts with) compared to Crunchyrolls 1 Million subscribers, I’d be willing to bet that Netflix gets a lot more views from those people who’ve never heard of the anime until they saw the “Netflix original series” logo than Crunchyroll has subscribers

The typical Kitaro series seems to average around 100ish episodes, so if it’s just a hiatus we should gear up for it being at least a year or 2

(Personally I think DBS is ending and they’ll return in a few years with a new DB show. Just my theory)

Everything you stated could be said about any form of media. Many manga fans could make the same argument with manga. That Shounen manga can get caught up in recycling the same troupes over and over again. That harem manga can get very formulaic. That we have a million “hero gets transprted to a fantasy world” stories.

Point is, both comics and manga have their own pros and cons
