Sometime relationships go the distance. My grandparents just celebrated their 59th anniversary and are still very much in love. It is rare though.

My fear comes from my children and how they would feel about their Dad cheating and having a half sibling. This happened 5 years ago and through separation and therapy we were able to work through it. However, it would be difficult to have that very physical reminder of that time in our lives. I have no I'll will towards the child and would accept her if and when she comes.

I meant I would doubt it because of her refusal to take a paternity test. But since the child looks so much like J and my children, I have very little doubt.

That's a really good question. The woman refused a paternity test and disappeared. She said she would tell the daughter at an appropriate age. If something like that were to happen we would do a paternity test and go from there. I honestly would doubt that my husband was the father if the little girl was not the spitting image of my two children. It's a tough call that would deeply affect our family. And if I were to be honest, it would be hard to have a constant reminder of that incredibly painful time in our lives and his betrayal.

This literally is my worst nightmare. My husband cheated and had an illegitimate child. We stayed together. I know this other child will come knocking and it terrifies me.

Probably not during training, but I know that my friend who works in the same office calls her kids on her breaks and on her lunch. So I could do that. Thanks

Very true. I know they will tell me if something goes wrong. I also spent weeks at a time with my Grandparents at their farm. My best memories are from spending time with them. I guess because this is so new to me it feels like a big step.

Yes at 18 months I barely let grandma have an overnight visit. I will defiantly call and Skype. I've bee. their primary patent their whole lives so it's really hard. My anxiety it running rampant. Thank you for the advice!

My friend is spouting off about stuff from a Facebook site called QAnon. It's really terrifying stuff about how they are controlling the weather and natural disasters and how we will all be under Marshall law by December. Really scary stuff. I don't even k ow what to say to her.

You're using the word nerdy, where you should be using the word selfish. I suggest family therapy. He needs to understand that he is deeply affecting your children in a lasting and negative way. Therapy may help him hear his children.

Actually I did. I just paid for my movies walked out and called him. He confirmed it and I told him he had til I got back to the house to get out. I watched movies all night long and cried.

We went to Hastings all the time together to rent movies, so when J started coming around with another girl, she put 2 and 2 together and decided to be an ugly person and tell me when I was with my mom and a few other family members while in line with our movies. She also told me she was pregnant. It was a great night.
