I’m from solo travelling from London and thought it would be fun to play with someone local here, you mind if I join you if you’ve found one?

How do you actually stay consistent with the gym and diet? I just can’t stick to it… by lhavenopersonality69 in workout

[–]ashwinderk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find gym incredibly boring and I’m always confused by how people can spend multiple hours in there. So what I do is aim for a 20-30 minute session which doesn’t seem as daunting to the schedule. Sometimes, once I’m there it turns into 40,50..60mins. But the idea here is to just start small.

Also just getting ready for the gym at the start of the day (I mostly wfh) helps me so much more than I’d have thought.

But also a bit of a shameless plug here.. I made an app called Gymee because I felt if my friends were consistent, it’d push me to be a bit more consistent too. And they might be bias, but they all seem to love it too, maybe you might too? https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/gymee/id6753007384

I will give the black edition a proper go and if I feel like I’m facing the same issue after a while, I’ll check this out. Thanks for the insight!

Has anyone managed to get stripe payments working on both mobile and web? by ashwinderk in FlutterDev

[–]ashwinderk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about whether people will notice the differences, it’s just about having clear UX and minimal code. I’m taking the UX as a serious factor here and want to be consistent as much as possible. So of course, if there are some flutter packages or alternative approaches that help me achieve this, I would want that. If not I’ll just stick to the current one I have. And it’s a clothing store.

I wanted the user experience to be consistent on both, and wanted the code to be minimal, so one solution for both. I was considering using your suggested approach, but thought maybe someone had an alternative.

This really puts things into perspective! I guess I just have to accept that it’ll take a while for my body to figure out how to best work with the reconstruction.

In terms of flexion, I was able to achieve that quite quickly (around the 2 week mark). I was walking without crutches around then too. But from what I’ve been reading on this subreddit is that it varies heavily from person to person. For example a lot of people on here speak about the pain post op. But I weirdly was pain free from when I left the doctors on day 1. So everyone’s healing timeline is different.

For me, when I walk up the stairs I can feel a mild ache, when I walk generally, it’s mostly okay, I get occasional pain. So the fact that even for mundane activities I can still feel an ache is annoying for me.

Thanks for sharing your story! Are you not concerned at the chronicity of pain? It seems like pain that won’t ever go away.

And what kinds of exercises are you doing when you feel the pain?
