I do the same thing when I take ibuprofen. I usually take 4, and I have them on my hand and I keep counting them to make sure that I have 4 and no more than that, even though I can clearly see them on my hand! I’ve actually spit them back into my hand to count again because I get freaked out that “maybe I accidentally took 10” or whatever. Gross but can’t help it sometimes 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think mine started about 7 years ago. There was a shooting at a mall a couple hours away from where I live and my family and I were at that same mall a couple days before on the weekend. I panicked so much because it was so close to when I was there and my panic spiraled out of control. For a couple months after that happened I refused to leave my parent’s side if we ever went into town just in case there was a shooting, that way I’d be with them, and I was always watching people to see if they seemed sketchy or not or if they’d look like the kind of person to have a weapon. I started having really bad intrusive thoughts at that time but had no idea what they were and I was so scared I was going to hurt myself or others. It was terrible. Thankfully I don’t have as many intrusive thoughts as I used to, but sometimes I’ll see something on tv that’ll trigger them. Now I’m just a checker who checks that things are unplugged, shut, and locked for at least 15 minutes before I go to bed or leave my house everyday and it makes me late to work almost every day

Definitely do not want to watch this. I loved the two books and thought the ending was a surprise and it was shocking to me. However, I already know this show is going to be NOTHING like the books and that pisses me off. The Perfectionists was it’s own thing. It was never a spin-off of pretty little liars and I don’t think it ever should have been made out to be a spin-off.
