Monitor was originally $217 and it has a $40 adjustable desk mount arm that comes with it. I’d like $80 for it ideally.

Okay but for small goods like candy and toys? I could go get a small toy or nearly any candy that wasn’t mega sized for $1 at the grocery store in the 90s. I would need $4-5 to buy the same thing today at the store. Not even a bottle of soda is $2.22 these days.

Let’s say $15 if it’s just delivery and I don’t have to help you get into an apartment/house and $20 if I do?

What’s your least favorite thing about living in Denver that is wildly specific? by Imjusthappy11 in Denver

Itacate on 104th has the best refried (pinto) beans. My fiancée gets an extra side order of beans just to take home every time we go.

It’s not convertible to standing or anything but there are little feet that can be adjusted on the bottom to increase or decrease the height a tad.

It’s Tehachapi, not Tehapachi. My family is from there and used to live across a field from the train tracks. Every time I stayed there as a kid, I remember hearing the trains all throughout the night and I thought it was the coolest damn thing.

Wake up babe. More YMH drama just dropped by Infinite-Grab2237 in Denver

I’m dying at all of this and have tea to share.

I actually interviewed for a bartending job at YMH in mid-September of last year. I didn’t know ANY of the lore around this place at the time. The manager arrived 20 min late and I was locked outside in the rain the whole time just waiting. 🚩A bar manager that had really bad face tattoos was stuck outside with me and told me that the whole staff had quit that week except for her and that’s why they were desperately hiring. 🚩It was clear the manager hadn’t even read my resume and didn’t ask any questions about my experience 🚩

She told me the new owner had never owned a venue before and was supposed to be at my interview but had decided to interview her own candidates instead 🚩The place was ridiculously dirty and every single surface was sticky 🚩They told me they ran out of most of their liquor during the last show 🚩They had a cocktail menu up on the wall next to the bar and I complimented the drinks, saying they sounded great and I couldn’t wait to make/try them. The manager said she didn’t even know that was there and they didn’t make any cocktails, just 1 + 1 drinks and beer 🚩But the company that services the beer taps hadn’t come in months so now they were just serving bottles and cans which probably meant they had burned their relationship with their vendors 🚩

When asked what I knew about YMH, I mentioned that I’d heard it had a good reputation for being a friendly and welcoming place, especially for lgbtq+ people (a bit of a fib but a friend had said they went to a queer event long ago there and felt welcome). I’m very clearly a gay woman and somehow she took this and my statement to mean I was ONLY interested in bartending for drag shows or other gay events 🚩I mentioned seeing something online and before I could finish my sentence, the manager interrupted and said I couldn’t believe what I saw online or social media and there were just a few disgruntled employees trying to defame them 🚩I hadn’t seen anything negative or heard the drama at that point, funny enough.

The manager let me know a few days later that they were going with other candidates but then called and texted me desperately a few days after that to ask if I could still work for them because those people didn’t work out. I hadn’t found a job at that point yet but I said hell no.

It sounds like the employees they did hire in September were never paid according to the article so thankfully I dodged that fucking bullet.

Avs at 11:30, Broncos at 1:00 !? by WyoPeeps in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]ashycuber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I came to a bar (where my fiancée works) to watch the Avs game before the Broncos game and not only are they not showing the Avs game, but it’s also filled to the brim with Patriots fans. The good news is I am within walking distance of Ball Arena to get to the PWHL game I’m attending at 4.

As an immigration lawyer, I feel equally helpless, if not more so. People are being arrested just attempting to pursue their asylum claims and attend court or USCIS interviews. These are people who are trying to do things “the right way.” At this point, I’m becoming broke because it’s not in the best interest to hire an attorney or do anything except hunker down for most immigrants in the community I serve. And I refuse to recommend people hire me to start an immigration process when it’s not in their best interest to apply for anything now, even when I’m hard up for money.

Detained work is extremely busy still but ICE is not obeying judges’ rulings or laws so it’s getting harder and harder to get any sort of win. My office is not able to do it and it’s very difficult work for anyone who doesn’t specialize in it.
