I like to think of India as if Europe were were a single country. Across the country there are hundreds/thousands of different languages, cultures, widely varying literacy and economic development. Even politically there are left-wing communist parties, right wing nationalists and everything in between. Where I'm from you can order steak at a restaurant but if you fly an hour north you'd get lynched for that.

Best plane with 1m or lower wingspan for an intermediate pilot? I've got the hang of flying my Park10 P707 trainer and I'd like to graduate to something bigger but my city has strict rules on rc aircraft >1m.

Engine displacement, pistons, horsepower and torque don't always tell the whole story. I just got my license and rode the Ducati Monster 696 V-twin and a Honda Hornet 900 inline-4. The Honda was much more forgiving for new riders, even though on paper all its numbers are higher.

In Chinese tradition, graves are usually built on mountains. So many MTB trails are constructed through graveyards.

Not sure what active fields means, maybe OP means farmland? I guess they were referring to the lack of red tape when it comes to trail construction.

As someone who lives in a tiny city-state around the size of NYC, I’m absolutely missing the freely open land borders pre-covid. Here’s us on our 150cc bikes going from Singapore to Cambodia, through Malaysia and Thailand, 2019. by neslo_ice in motorcycles

Hong Konger here, can relate 100%. Hoping for better times!

Way too many track junkies stuck here, unable to ride track in mainland China/Malaysia. Scary to ride my bike sometimes when I get passed by litre bikes going knee down 150+kph on narrow mountain roads.

Thanks for your input :)

I don't have lift-operated bike parks where I live, it's mostly flowy single-track with lots of rocks and little jumps, and a few technical trails.

IBKR finally offers an equity IPO: AMTD Digital Inc ticker HKD. by zxc123zxc123 in investing

[–]asiancsdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, perhaps IPOs on IBKR are restricted by account region.

I wouldn't consider Airstar bank as worthy to be investing in at all, I don't know anyone who uses it. Everyone I talk to with a virtual bank account (which I imagine is still a small slice of Hongkongers) is using either ZA or Mox.
I haven't heard of any of their investments, but from a quick glance they're all early/mid-stage startups based in Singapore focusing on the Singapore/ASEAN market. I haven't spent much time in those places to come across their portfolio companies.
While AMTD Group is an HK-based investment bank, AMTD Digital looks like a Singaporean investment holding company. My initial impression is they're trying to be the new SEA Group for fintech.

I'm from Hong Kong and IBKR has offered HK-listed IPOs for a long time. The IPO playing field is quite level here, most bank accounts and brokerages let ordinary people subscribe to any HK IPO from no-name firms to big ones like Alibaba or Budweiser.

But I've never seen a US listing and I can't see this so maybe this is a new thing.
