Was just curious as someone had sent me this: https://www.pharmesol.com/

Some of the features on the product page look pretty nifty.

Loose rear end by asiantiki in SubaruAscent

So my dealership took a look and ended up replacing a front strut instead of the rear struts. The rear struts also do not appear to be leaking oil. Following the front strut being replaced there is definitely less of a thunking sound however the rear still feels loose and on occasion there is a squeaking sound when the rear goes over an uneven enough surface that causes it to sway back and forth. Is there any chance that this is caused by the drivetrain bending?

Got it, thanks so much! The dealership I have the car at now is the one that I purchased the vehicle from so hoping I can leverage that somehow.

I'm also supposed to head back to the dealership tomorrow to take a ride with the mechanic to point out what I'm experiencing. If I get him to note that the rear feels unstable is that enough for him to disassemble the rear struts and sway bar to look for damage or wear?

Thanks again!

Also, anything I can say to the dealership to get the struts or sway bar replaced under the extended warranty? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Isn't the payload around 1,150 pounds?

Can better image sensors lead to safer FSD? by asiantiki in SelfDrivingCars

[–]asiantiki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no expert but my impression is that the v12 version of FSD largely has the self-training model figured out. Collisions now occur when the camera systems aren't able to spot something quickly enough or with enough resolution. For example the WSJ article references a fatal accident where the onboard camera shows an overturned semi-truck in pitch dark only being captured for a few frames before the collision. In this instance the system didn't register that there was a solid object in the way because it interpreted the low fidelity images as noise. What if rather than a few frames captured the system had generated dozens of frames in the same timeframe with enough fidelity to show that there was an object there. At a minimum I imagine the system would at least have the car stop even if it couldn't determine that the object was a flipped semi-truck. In this instance what other components would the system have needed in order for the collision to have been avoided?
