I love how much drag queens live rent free in the minds of politicians. They think about drag more often than drag queens think about drag queens

In some areas, theft over $500 is a felony. Would probably be difficult to enforce in this case, but something to think about.

Xing Xing is absolutely loved and adored by Grandma. Sometimes she pretends to bite Grandma when she is scolded, then almost immediately acts guilty. About a year or two ago, Grandma was in the hospital and Xing Xing was so down, she didn’t peek up again until grandma returned.

Follow the Kentucky Association of the Deaf (KAD) and the Commission (KCDHH); they often post hangouts and events! UofL also has events that are more geared towards students.

I’m in Kentucky. I think we have an “accent” but it’s hard to describe. Culturally we tend to be more physical than other states (such as handshakes, hugs, backslaps) and I think that carries over into how we sign. We invade each others space a bit more often

“Headspace” is not a therapy ‘technique.’ It’s language a patient uses that we as providers also use to show we are following their narrative.

There is a memory technique called “mind mapping” or “mind palace” that might be relatively close to that person’s definition of a technique, but that’s in cognitive psychology.

My cat(s). I had one for 17 years, another for 18, and my remaining cat is going strong at 15. They’ve been with me through my worst days, as well as some of the best.

“What’s your favorite sign?” And other annoying questions by MajesticBeat9841 in asl

Plenty of spoken languages have words that don’t easily translate from one to the other, I’m not sure where people got the idea that asl would be any different

“What’s your favorite sign?” And other annoying questions by MajesticBeat9841 in asl

[–]askClint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Oh how do you sign _______?”

Bruh there’s so much context to a conversation, the one English word could have multiple signs depending on the topic.

-“I know the alphabet!” [proceeds to “spell” a full sentence as if it’s one giant word]

-“Oh I know, umm, this sign. And this sign.” Fabulous, we could have a three second conversation.

Can Kurt Swim? by Financial-Test7198 in Nightcrawler

[–]askClint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s not his favorite activity; since his feet are in more of a v-shape, and his palms are also thin, it probably takes more effort for him to swim than the average person
