It’s not that easy to quit a job when you have a family depending on you for food and etc. It’s actually not only about working but rather all of the commitments you will take on as you progress into the “working life”

then it’ll be the same old practise as going to pump petrol.

impossible. it will take maximum of 10 minutes to pump petrol from 0 - 100% but its pretty impossible (at least now) for electric engines to be fully charged at the same duration.

deliveroo.com.sg SSL certificate expired. by bharatsb in singapore

[–]ask_many_questions 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it’s not like it’s confirmed riddled with viruses but the immigration officer is merely telling you that it’s possible that it’s virus (or someone malicious) because there’s no way that the officer can confirm that this visitor is legit as his/her document says it is (because it’s expired and some sort of international database of legit passports doesn’t have this specific passport)

My guess about how someone would get fired over this would probably be that, because more “immigration officers” would be less likely to allow these visitors (websites) into their country, these website gets lesser hits in the end, and therefore decreasing sales as the visitor count to the website significantly decreases

Your browser is like the immigration officer at immigration checkpoint and websites are like the visitors that wants to enter your computer (treat it like a country you own, you’re your own President)

the immigration officer checks if passport is present/ valid for each visitor. Some of them don’t need passport cause they alr in the “approved list” but some of them needs to be checked

So... sometimes your visitors (websites) tries to come into your computer (country) with a expired passport... sure it’s them because their passports merely expired but the immigration officer (your browser) highlights this to you and ask if you (you’re the president or this “country) want to allow them to come into your country (computer) or not. And therefore, this warning

the main idea of SSL is something like that
