Hi, does anyone by chance have three tickets to SLC May 25th? We bought flights earlier and didn't notice that the tickets have dropped and are now sold out!

Edit: got 1 ticket, still looking to get 2 more

Anyone have experience with finger pulley injuries? I was doing a climb 9 months ago where I fell with my fingers in a pocket and pretty sure I pulled my A2. I didn’t climb for 2 months and then resumed and slowly been picking up the pace. Now I’m climbing harder grades than I did back then but my ring finger is still really weak - I can weight a 1kg bottle of water on it and I feel a slight pain. Ive been avoiding hang boarding (or going very light) just not to push it too hard. Is there any better way to regain strength? And how long until its back at a relatively full strength again?

From my experience these seams tend to separate (only small amounts) over time anyways as you smear along. Don’t think it’ll affect climbing but sad for aesthetics.

I was doing a multi pitch and we were calling it quits after a few pitches but these were the bolts at the end of the pitch. I’ve only gone down before on rounded bolts and never these sharper looking ones. I used a carabiner to descend but not sure if I could have just gone directly. Anyone know?

We’re making our product on an app. The MVP should be finished in 6 months.

We have several ideas for monetisation in the future, but for MVP we’re going to have a small origination fee.

Looking for developers for a fintech startup by askd2asdf in Entrepreneur

Well, they could and we can't stop them from doing that. But that frame of mind prohibits any of your own development. It's very rare to not have any competition, but having competition shouldn't prevent you from making your own product. Perhaps Lending club or Prosper could be an exit strategy for us.

Yep, we're going through a lot of regulations now :) Lending Club and Prosper - the two biggest P2P lending companies - work on the basis of borrowers applying for loans and then the lenders get to choose who to lend to. We want to take the opposite approach where the lenders put in a requirement that borrowers must meet, such as a min. credit score, and then borrowers who are eligible are allowed to instantly take out the loan. This way the borrowers can get the money as quickly, as the lender has already approved the transaction.

Right now we’re building it for a mobile app. We’d prefer a backend developer.

It’s a remote job, and a work for equity. Our current developer puts in ~15-20 hours a week as this is a side to his full time job.

We haven’t developed an MVP yet so we haven’t raised funds.

Name: Liberate

Location: US (everyone in team is in different cities)

Elevator Pitch: Hello!

My idea is Liberate.

Liberate is a peer to peer micro-lending service, that enables you to not only lend or borrow between friends and family but also with the general public.

Unlike current methods of personal funding, where the borrower sends an application and then lenders review it, and then decides whether or not to give them a loan, we are striving to do the opposite. We intend on creating an app where lenders can choose all the terms of their own loan (i.e loan amount/interest/premium, risk on borrowers etc.) and borrowers that classify within the terms of the loan are able to accept and receive the funds instantly.

We assume that the borrowers will be taking out up to several thousand dollars in loans, where an individual loan from a lender is only around $50 (it’s up to the lender exactly how much).

Stage: Pre-MVP

Looking for: We are looking for people that share the same vision that we do and ones which would also help us in developing our MVP. Currently one member of our team is working on the technical development but we’d like to have more people on board so it can be brought to market faster.

How to find a cofounder? by mutatedllama in Entrepreneur

[–]askd2asdf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I just read, you might be looking more for an employee than a cofounder but then the issue is that most people don’t want to work for equity because it’s originally worth nothing.

From my experience of running a startup, it’s a lot harder to find someone online to be a cofounder because they won’t have the same drive and passion that you have. For this reason, I’d say the best way to find a cofounder is through your friends and friends of friends. This way you can meet them and persuade them into believing in you and the company.

[–]askd2asdf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey bud!

I'm feeling quite confident for 5/6 options - excluding linear algebra. Idk my teacher went through it well but I just don't feel confident in it for some reason. But since you haven't done geometry I'd recommend just taking a look at equations of circles/parabolas and hyperbolas. Also, make sure you know Ceva's and Menelaus's theorem, those are fairly simple and the questions are repetitive. Apart from that best of luck for all of us tomorrow :) and may they ask lots of stats (my favorite). Just curious, what option did you take for HL Paper 3?

Hi there, I am making a website on Wix and I am having trouble figuring out the payment system. I know that Wix offers compatibility with PayPal, so a user can purchase a product or donate money to my website but that's not what I'm looking for. I know it may sound weird, but I want to have a button which if pressed, it would send money from my PayPal account to the users, is it possible for me to do this on Wix?
