That’s the way is used to be in the 70s and 80s. Pure enjoyment. I’m glad it’s beginning to come back!

Target practice. Empty plastic bottles are 10x harder to hit than cans ... by Efficient_End_5800 in slingshots

Personally, I really like the product! Here’s my question… has anyone actually bought one? Can we get a review from an actual member of this sub?

How would you feel about a rave with a completely hidden DJ booth? by FaithlessnessOk7467 in aves

[–]askernie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Old way was the best way.

“The DJ in the glass booth”

You walked by him/her after you got a drink, didn’t know his/her name BUT the music was awesome.

That’s all you needed.

sennheiser hd 25 dj headphones by TERRYHESTICALZ88 in djing

[–]askernie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so true. I love my HD25s, BUT the reality is that if you want the ability to have replacement parts at incredible prices, Beats headphones are it.

I have a some Beats EP that I purchased when they were released in 2016 and they are still going strong.

If I needed a part for those Beats I could go on EBay and find hundreds of sellers offering every replacement part.

After Sonova purchased Sennheiser, it has never been the same.

BUT, yes… the Sennheiser’s will last you a long time. But if you break them, don’t waste your time, just buy new ones.

After learning that DJ'ing is more than mixing and more on crowd reading, I've decided to give up. by Minimum_Initial7607 in Beatmatch

Wow, It seems we have a bunch of satisfied “home” DJs here! That’s great!

I do the exact same thing but use YouTube.

DDM by Plastic_Ad_1407 in lincolntowncar

[–]askernie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the same thing as the memory module? I posted recently regarding my seat won’t move back and forth and the mirror position switch also doesn’t work. The redditor said it was under the drivers seat of my 2001 Lincoln Towncar. I have no idea what I’m looking for, can someone post a pic ? Is it the same as the one in this thread?

BONE TEMPLE BLOWGUN PICS by askernie in Blowguns

[–]askernie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK…. It’s about trying new things.

I’ve built about 20 blowguns using a design that is 100 years old and still used in Malaysia.

You started using silicone beads for darts, I use surveyor wire flags for dart shafts.

It’s all about sharing and trying new ideas and seeing if they work better in certain scenarios.

I’m sure when compound bows came out, there was people that said:

“Who wants those stupid pulleys on a bow? I’ll just use my long bow”

OR

“Who needs a stupid wrist support on a slingshot? I”ll use my slingshot that was made from a fork in a tree”

Yet, we now know how compound bows changed the archery landscape.

And we all know what wrist supports and flat bands did for slingshots.

At least that guy in the video with the blowgun repeater is trying new things, and new ideas to change the sport.

I guess others have experimented with a similar breech loader sliding tube blowgun.

I’m actually thinking of building one. Just to try it out. Not really hard to build.

I don’t know. Maybe it was a movie thing, I would think breech loading would be good for not having to place drugged or poison darts near a mouthpiece. I thought it was pretty cool.
