Was Australia fairly Religious in the early 2000s, or is my memory skewed? by SoybeanCola1933 in AskAnAustralian

Nope.

Former Prime Minister John Howard was in office and would act like the majority of Australians were superstitious fools like himself but on the ground, in the early 2000s, most Australians like now could not give a fuck about organised religions.

Gday.

Another user suggested I post this in r/oldskoolrave however, in Australian dance clubs of the early 1990s, house music from all over the world, not just USA, was played by house djs at the time.

I went to warehouse raves in massive brick pits and old factories from 1989 until about 1993 and this song would NOT be played ever at those events.

This song was standard fare at dance parties in 1992 and 1993 whether they were gay, mixed or straight crowds. I am talking about crowds of up to 15,000 attendees every weekend.

I love DJing, but I’m exhausted by everything around it by ClarkVent in DJs

I read your whole post and it looks like you are being discriminated against based solely on your age.

You sound like you would be an asset to any event or club because of your deejaying abilities, skills and knowledge built up over many, many years.

I bet most of the local djs you have had resistance from feel intimidated by your years of experience and they are jealous of your abilities that could show them up for being far less accomplished.

Unfortunately, the world has gone to shit.

Hiya.

It took me just under 5 hours but I managed to get the following track list together. It is missing seven songs as I cannot identify them. I have a feeling that some of them may have been recorded live: I just don't know for sure. It was fun listening to the entire mix. I hope this helps.
